Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat Value for the MoneyI absolutely love my Lumia 635. I love it even more because it only cost me $99.00. Since I bought the phone, I've stopped walking around with my laptop because I can now access all of my files on Onedrive. The Apps are great and easy to use. This is a benchmark for me when it comes to purchasing a phone meaning that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a good business phone that does everything like the expensive IPhone.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMaybe the best bang for buck phone out thereVery smooth and runs flawlessly. It is on the list for the Windows 10 update. Not many apps but that might change with windows 10. It is more responsive than my old Samsung S4. Almost all apps can be installed on memory card. I would recommend this to anyone who wants it all but not spend much

Rated 1 out of5 by fromBuggy. Cannot make a call on the phone. The phone worked fine for the first two months or so, now it won't make calls. I can receive phone calls on it, and I can send and receive texts, but, it doesn't dial any numbers. Resetting the phone didn't work.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromHigh PraiseSo efficient to have app integration - email, contacts, calendar, OneDrive - across all my Windows 8.1 devices: desktop, laptop, tablet and now my phone. The Lumia 635 is a very high quality device considering the price and I have no complaints about either the screen or the speed. Canadian customers can rest assured that their unlocked phone will receive its updates directly from Microsoft over wifi.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromDON'T BUY THIS PHONEAny Windows Phone released after 635 is better than this, like 535 430 435 640 540. Those phones all have 1GB RAM, LED Flash, front facing camera. And 635 have none of those crucial features. It is the last Windows Phone to have 512 MB RAM. And it took them forever to bring the Denim Update.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromGood OS but this phone is cheap for a reasonI bought this just to test the new Windows mobile platform and was very happy with that part of it and have since upgraded to the Lumia 830. The 635 is very light and does not have a luxury feel. The camera is quite poor and I dropped it flat on the floor and the entire screen cracked. I am rating it 3 stars but really it is 5 stars for the OS and 1 star for the phone.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromEasy use, feature rich. More RAM and flash needed.Bought this because it was unlocked and have tried a Nokia 1020. I was impressed with most of the functionality.Pros:- Easy to use. My dad has the Nokia 1020 and I didn't want to spend that much on what I would use as a secondary (travel) phone.- Buying it from Microsoft meant that I could get it unlocked. That was a big bonus.- Starts and shuts down quick.- Here Maps (previously Nokia Maps) is fantastic.- Camera lag is not that bad and it takes nice pictures. Not too much noise in bright light.- Windows Live Tiles is a nice clean feature.Cons- 512 MB RAM is not enough.- Lack of flash is a bummer.- No way to modify Sound profiles (was a big feature in Nokia Symbian phones). Since the upgrade to Windows Phone 8.1, apps that could do it no longer work.- More apps would be nice, but overall I install what I need or have a workaround for it.I would recommend this phone overall. However, I would temper expectations on it because of the lack of flash and amount of RAM.
