Ratings and Reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromExciting flare to the windows operating systemIve been a believer for some time that Windows7 was everything we needed and 8 was downright rediculous. Fancy forcing a tablet interface onto a PC!It took 8.1 to come along to sell me. Ive become a fan of the way you can switch between the old desktop view and the highly visible pages of the new Windows8 design. Ive heard complaints of the lack of apps in the store but honestly, I have owned an idevice for years and barely touch the novelty apps Ive been overwhelmed by. The windows store is growing every day as converts come onboard. My opinion... Give it a try. Im sure like me, you'll see the improvements.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromUpgrading Windows 8.1 to 8.1 Pro... no offer? It may seem petty, but the page covers upgrading from Win8 to 8.1, and going from any version to 8.1 Pro... but I feel like there's a 8.1 to Pro offer missing... full version should not need to be purchased for this upgrade.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromJust Works!Got this on 1 pc, 2 laptops and a pair of tablets in our house.Seriously thinking of putting it on my gaming rig too.Sync across multiple devices is sweet.8.1 is very much like windows 7, but the security in the back-end is better(secure boot).I did prefer Win8, but I have gotten used to the changes I didn't like in 8.1 and the changes I do like are more numerous, so the trade-off is not too hard to bear

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNot happy with windows 8.1About 18 months ago I brought a new computer with Windows 8 preloaded I have upgraded to 8.1. I am not impressed it appears slow and cumbersome. Blamed Nortons 360 for problem so I removed it and install Microsoft Security - system no difference. My 8 year old laptop is faster with XP. Spoke to a few people and most appear to have accepted 8.1 with reservations. HOW DO I REMOVE 8.1 and GO BACK TO XP.
