It's a slate by definition, but the Samsung Series 7 gives you all the power and performance of a notebook PC. It's run by the Intel Core i5-2467M processor—a significant boost over the typical Intel Atom processors found in most slates—and it comes loaded with 4 GB of RAM for swift multitasking capabilities and fast and smooth system performance.
The Series 7 weighs a shade under two pounds and is just over a half-inch thick, making it incredibly easy to carry and handle wherever you go. Its 11.6-inch display is a great size for navigating through Windows 7, and gives you wide viewing angles, deep blacks, and sharp, vivid colors. The multi-touch screen is capable of registering 10 fingers at a time, or can be used with a digital stylus for more precise selection or handwriting, making it a snap to take meeting notes, create documents, or browse online.
Battery life is solid—up to seven hours*—and is backed with Samsung's PowerPlus technology, which means the battery retains 80% of its original capacity for up to 1,500 charges. Dual webcams (two-megapixel front, three-megapixel rear) let you record audio/visual files and store and share them via the full-sized USB 2.0 port.
