Rated 5 out of5 by fromLasts Long and Easy to Use!The Xbox One Play & Charge Kit is a very fantastic accessory and is a must-buy for an avid gamer like me. Sadly, I didn't think about buying this on Day One along with my Xbox One, and I waited until about late January to early February to do so. The time between 11/22/14 and then made me spend so much money on batteries when I could have just bought this. The big deal about this kit is the fact that it lasts pretty long and the charging cable is so long that you can play with it all the time if you wanted to. For the next 6-8 years, however long this console generation lasts, you will save BIG time. Probably enough to buy a game or two! I can't recommend this enough. $25 is an amazing deal for what will save you more than $50 in the years to come.s

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMust have product!!!Anyone who purchased an Xbox One should be buying this. This product does exactly what it should and is inexpensive when you think of how many batteries you would have to purchase.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromPlay or ChargeWhile saving on batteries is great, this product unfortunately has a tendency to not stay connected to the controller (physically it is in the correct position, however the charging is extremely fickle. If I set the controller down it will charge but any movement risks a disconnect.) I do not trust this product in multi-player matches. It is entirely possible my cable is defective. I bought it December 2013 and have only recently started using my Xbox One for serious gaming since the release of Destiny. The upside I suppose is that it forces me to take breaks from gaming and do homework.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromOwn this product because it's fairly essential.A play and charge kit is essential for a controller typically. The design, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The mini or macro usb model is okay in theory... but in a gamers environment... where the wife and kids play.. it is easily destroyed. I actually had to replace a controller and this product because of it.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWell Made Must Have AccessoryI bought this battery charge kit back at launch and found it to be a necessary piece of the Xbox One puzzle. Both the cable and battery pack are well made products. The price isn't bad but it may be out of some people's price range. The only downside I found and this is why I rated it at 4 stars instead of 5 was because I found that when I used my rechargeable Energizer or Rayovac batteries that I got around 35hrs of gameplay out of the controller before it went dead, but with the Xbox lithium ion battery I found that it only gets me around 25hrs of gameplay which is atleast a few hrs less then good third party rechargeables. Overall I'm glad I picked this item up and recommend it to any Xbox One owner.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromBreaks easilyThe cord that connects to the controller breaks very quickly. After a couple months of normal use the cord no longer charges the battery. This has happened with all of the play and charge kits I've had over the years. (3 on Xbox 360 and 2 so far on Xbox one). I always end up thinking that maybe I just got a defective cord, but after spending over $100 on these over the years I'm going to start looking for a different product to charge my battery.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromWhat an abominationThis piece of garbage doesn't hold a charge for more than 10 minutes OFF OF A MAXIMUM CHARGE!

Rated 2 out of5 by fromGreat battery, poor cordI bought this back at launch. Got the kit for the included controller and dropped the extra 10 on the controller and kit bundle. I come to find today over a year later that both cords completely died. I didn't think it was the cord about 8 months ago when my first controller stopped charging but after experimenting with my samsung phone charger it was the cord all along.I don't recommend if you're on the fence or going to just buy the kit only get the controller bundle because the batteries are amazing; I charge my controller about once every 2 weeks or so playing about 2 hours a day. And when I really play I get a week with about 20-25 hours of usage
