Rated 4 out of5 byeuGenie fromIt does what you'd expect it to doI use it with my Surface Pro 2 from time to time and it works good. I never had any problems with it. Visually it is compatible with my Surface, it's small. There's only one complaint I might have - it's only FastEthernet, one might expect a Gigabit especially when SP2 has USB 3.0 port. But frankly speaking 100Mbit/s is enough in most cases so it's not a huge problem.

Rated 1 out of5 bybsd107 fromDoes not support Gigabit EthernetThe box does not specify that it only supports 10/100 Ethernet, and not 1Gb Ethernet. It never occurred to me that in 2013 any Ethernet adapter, particularly one at this price, would max out at ancient Fast Ethernet speeds. Waste of money, as it's no faster than my 802.11n connection at home....

Rated 2 out of5 byRumbler fromunreliableMy company uses 5 surface pro 3's per site, we currently have quite a few and they are working great. No issue with wifi connection but its a little slow, so we went with these USB Ethernet adapters for redundancy and a faster connection. About 40% of the time the USB Ethernet isn't recognized, (we do a nightly restart) it only sees the wifi. This is fine it still works through wifi but then why did I waste money on this device trying to increase speed and redundancy? In short, don't waste your money just go through wifi its slower but more reliable.

Rated 4 out of5 byJack2of3 fromSurface Pro Works as advertisedThe USB connector is Blue. The connect speed is 100Mbs. I connect it to a Plugable 7 Port powered USB 3.0 Hub. It took a few minutes for it to recognize the adapter. I do have to unplug the HUB at the end of the day and plug it back in the next morning when I return to the office with my surface, so the ports initialize, but it works perfectly.

Rated 1 out of5 byii88tek fromNot USB 3.0 and NOT GIGABIT EthernetI would never buy a product like this that doesn't match the USB 3.0 port of the Surface Pro 2. This is SLOW Ethernet. Slower than WiFi. Ridiculous.

Rated 3 out of5 byTheDave1022 fromWorks but SLOWThe USB to Ethernet adapter works at 10/100 speeds (not sure why they dont have gigabit speeds in 2014). It does the job for PXE boot as well
