Rated 1 out of5 byRafaelQue2 fromDoesn't Fit the Surface Pro 3.This cord is only for the Surface and Surface Pro 2. It will not fit the Surface Pro 3. On the Surface Pro 3, Microsoft changed the MiniDisplay Port to a standard one. Prior to the Surface Pro 3, the MiniDisplay Port was proprietary and needed the cable advertised here. I have verified this at the store. THE CABLE THAT FITS THE SURFACE PRO 2 WILL NOT FIT THE SURFACE PRO 3. I wish Microsoft would physically walk over to these 2 machines and confirm this as I have but for some reason they won't. I wound up getting a standard third party MiniDisplay Port adapter for my Surface Pro 3 that works fine.

Rated 5 out of5 byLeonidas fromit does The Job at 1080pI just got my surface pro 3 i7 512gb with doc station & this adapter for traveling. For those expecting 4K resolutions, the input on the external monitor/tv must be either DisplayPort or dual-link DVI. not HDMI. So YEP, surface pro 3 support 4K resolution (4096 x 2304) but not with HDMI cable.

Rated 5 out of5 byhshian fromWorks greatThis product does the job it’s supposed to and works great. It’s a shame that this product is getting bad reviews because people don’t understand the technology. Display port is a new better technology than HDMI, and unlike HDMI display port is not patented so it’s free for all to use. HDMI is a technology owned by one company and companies that use HDMI are required to pay a volume fee and per unit fee. Display port has a higher bandwidth than HDMI and allows multiple displays where HDMI is designed for single display.

Rated 5 out of5 byDanGoBlue fromExtended Screen ResolutionsI bought the Surface 3 and it is the best system for both office and traveling as a salesman. I plan on all of our sales having one. One problem is using it in the office. The extended screen with an HDMI or DVI has resolution issues. The icons, ribbons and toolbars are huge and take up too much space. I cannot change the resolution on the screen. A good amount of time is in the office.

Rated 2 out of5 byTerryC fromShame that Surface 2 HDMI connector is ProprietyIt is a shame that this is a proprietary connector . Microsoft need to understand that customers like Standard Connectors - That is one key reason like many like Microsoft ahead of Apple with it's proprietary everything. But MS has blown it with the HDMI connector - you need to move back to HDMI standard for future version unless I am missing something here.Other that that - Love Surface.Terry

Rated 1 out of5 byarcenciel13 fromhow does this work?I got a hd av adapter when I bought my surface pro 3 but it doesn't see to fit the hd port on the surface pro 3. Now I see the box says it is for a surface pro 2. Did I get the wrong thing? What should I have gotten to connect to a projector or hdmi port on a TV?
