The other protector was a "film" and as such, I found my touch and gestures, and even worse, Surface Pen, input suffered from a lack of accuracy. After a few days, I really hated that protector. I ripped it off my SP3 and went naked. Yes. Naked.I am happy to report that Incipio has built a fantastic screen protector that provides the exact same accuracy, as best I can tell, as going naked. The difference is that this isn't a film, it's glass. And it works. I think the glass, and the fact that it actually works, is what make the price so high. When you apply the protector, just be sure you have clean hands and you are doing the application in a dust/lint/dog hair free environment. I did mine where the dog likes to be, and had to pull hairs off the screen. If, when you are applying the protector, you see that there is dust, dog hair, lint, food particles, etc, don't panic. Make sure it's on the static side of the protector (otherwise, obviously just wipe it off). Pull the protector up just enough to get to the particle, take a piece of tape, sticky side towards the particle, and push it onto the particle, then pull it off. Obviously don't use something like duct tape. Scotch tape worked fine for me.If you want screen accuracy for your pen and touch, and you want to protect your screen, the Incipio is, at the moment, the only way to go. If you don't go with the Incipio and instead go with one of the film protectors, you will likely be disappointed.Highly recommended (even if the MSRP feels high)

This is a high quality piece of film/glass and doesn't take away from the sensitivity of the touch screen. You do want to make sure you clean the screen very well before applying this because once it sticks, you don't want to peel it off due to the it could crack.

You need to have a clean environment. Have the screen protector high up off the ground when applying to avoid dust.Likewise, if it is peeling off at the edges, it's because there is dust etc underneath and you need to apply properly.

Its a glass shield (as stated on the MS site), relatively thick and smudge proof compared to Zaggs.. Its better than the Zaggs in performance, although the Zaggs does have a lifetime warranty (they charge $15 to reapply a replacement at my location.)

Yes the screen is made to be handled and yes it can take a lot of dings but .... then there was one ding you didn't count on and now it's too late.

This was a problem for me because I use my pen quiet often for note and illustration. This protector feels like just without the screen protector. I had no bubbles in my application since I applied it in a steamy bathroom.
