Ratings and reviews

Rated 4 out of5 by fromAmazing ValueThe four single-player story experiences featured in this collection are worth $60 all their own. Expect at least 8 hours of pure alien killing madness from each campaign with an enthralling story that will grab Halo fans both new and old. You will meet cool human and alien characters, explore exotic extraterrestrial worlds, and use an array of weaponry and vehicles that only the sci-fi medium can create. The multiplayer component that had a very rocky launch is now fully operational. You will be able to find a match in any of the four Halo multiplayer offerings within a minute and have a blast.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromI love HaloI love Halo and seen this as an awesome opportunity for the franchise, but they failed on the delivery. Everyone knows of the issues we experienced and launch and long after (matchmaking broken, glitchy gameplay, matches ending for no reason, designated server's *not really*). Even after months of waiting for this game to become playable it was still never fully resolved. Campaigns were pretty solid, and the remastered Halo 2 was wonderful but disappointed I payed that much for a game that just was not ready for release.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromLaughable to Say the Least.Like pretty much everyone else, I was hyped for this game, but beware: if you're looking to enjoy 100+ Halo multiplayer maps running in 60 fps, you're buying the wrong game. The campaign is great, and it's really convenient to have the ability to enjoy any mission you would like. However, the multiplayer is trash; wait times in lobbies are sickening, ranging anywhere from ten minutes to a half hour for a lobby that is also never full. You also don't know how many people are playing any playlist at any given time. This game was a let down, much like every other Xbox One game that releases with a heavy emphasis on multiplayer. Developers really need to stop prematurely releasing games or else it's back to the store with my Xbox one and all of its games.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromNeeds workEven after a month and a half after release it's still not working good for me. My party breaks down all the time and we ended of getting completely split up. I don't mean on teams in mean actual games. So disappointed. This was literally the most anticipated title for me. I advise to ask a friend before buying to make sure its working. If not you will end up pulling your hair out

Rated 3 out of5 by fromWork in progress? The campaign works. The online matchmaking is still suffering and you have to wait a very long time to get into games. Big team battle still doesn't work most of the time. Really awful launch. But they are fixing it, slowly.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromShouldn't have been released in this stateYou will be surprised at what a bad state this game is in, if you go ahead and buy it. This game is crippled with major bugs and glitches, in every area: campaign, multiplayer, customs. Microsoft should not be selling it. You should definitely steer clear of this game--even if you're a serious Halo fan. Even single player is ruined by lost game saves, and coop is laggy.
