Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromIncredible camera, display, and specsI've had the 950 since it came out late November. I've honestly really enjoyed it. The camera is probably the best I've ever experienced in a smartphone. The display is incredible obviously with the super high resolution, and the high-end CPU and RAM make everything run slick. I've connected it wirelessly to my TV and the continuum experience is pretty futuristic, though may lag a little. Haven't had any problems with it and have had numerous updates straight from Microsoft, which is nice.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromSo far a pretty awesome phone5.2 inch screen is a good size, although the top and bottom bezel could be a tad shorter. Windows 10 UI is pretty nice, I like it more than android and iPhone. the Camera is amazing as far as I can tell, my previous phones, Nexus 4 and OnePlus One had ok cameras at best, this blows them away. Moving from android I really only miss a couple apps that I have already found relacements for. The Iris Scanner to unlock the phone is pretty awesome, and works in the dark, fast for the most part, although glasses can get in the way depending on the lighting. battery life is ok, gets me through the day, nothing amazing though. The OLED screen is very awesome, much better the LCD... all in all its a awesome phone, my only real negative would be the OS can be a bit buggy at times, but windows 10 mobile just came out about a week ago, so I'm sure updates will be coming... Sorry for the wall of text

Rated 5 out of5 by fromfluid OSI switched over from android and don't regret the decision. For people like me who use a windows computer, this really can't be beat. Pretty much no learning curve. Everything just works. I use my phone more for productivity than fun, so I don't really miss any apps either. Lyft needs to step it up and make a windows app though. For now, they've just lost a customer to Uber, no fault of Microsoft. OneDrive integration is perfect and the OS is extremely fluid. Looking forward to updates from MS to see what they can come up with.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromFor the FansAs Mr. Nadella said, this is really the phone for the fans. Unlike some mainstream smartphones out there, we get features that we actually care about, such as microSD expansion, removable battery, Glance, dedicated camera button, large battery, etc. My only complaint is the battery life, although that can likely be fixed with some software updates. Windows Hello is very cool, but slower than fingerprint scanners on competitor devices. I find the only time Hello is useful is if I have to enter my PIN. Other times, it's simply just faster to swipe up on the lock screen. The camera is fast and takes very nice pictures. Definitely up there with top competitor devices. Overall, this is a great phone for the price.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromexcellent hardware, WP10 is more advanced that iOSHave had the phone for a month. Excellent productivity tool, but the entertainment apps (Pandora etc.) have all improved a lot. Windows maps is now as good as Google Maps. The phone is just the right size, fast, high quality -- plastic back but hard to tell, and you can REPLACE THE BATTERY. MS just really needs to figure out how to get the missing apps onto the phone (google apps, snapchat etc). I don't need them, but lots of people do. Perhaps the "universal apps" will solve ... not yet clear.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromSo far, so good, but case backing is poor qualityI came from a Lumia 930, and this is a far superior device. You can tell that the Windows 10 Mobile OS was built for this phone and its bigger brother. The device is snappy and the display is gorgeous. I take away one star because the case backing quality is not suitable for how nice the rest of the phone is. The shiny Windows logo on the back is very weakly glued onto the backing, and when I removed the back to put in my SIM, 3 out of the 4 shiny pieces fell off. I had to super glue them back onto the case. Really, MS, now where can I get another case? It should have just been a matte etched logo instead of cheap reflective stickers.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromThis is a really great phone!!!I have owned Windows phones since they starting selling them with my first phone being a HTC HD7, then I had Nokia Lumia 925, and now the Lumia 950. I have Windows 10 on my tablet and a spare workstation, and using Windows 10 on the phone is a breeze. I love the larger screen size, and though it is larger than my 925, it feels about the same in weight. The camera is amazing and the few apps I do use, work just fine on the new platform. The one thing most will complain about is phone updates locking the phone up. This is a fact of life on almost any phone since the beginning, but the ability to remove the battery and reinstall it to reset it is awesome. If my Nokia 925 locked up, I had to get another phone. The built in wireless charging is really nice and it works just fine even with a TPU gel cover over the back of the phone. It is shame T-Mobile is not offering this phone and I had to get an unlocked one directly from Microsoft. Wi-Fi calling would have been nice, but I was surprised on how well the phone works at my home with only one bar of LTE. I was truly amazed of the call quality where I used to have dropped calls. The Bluetooth audio is incredible and with my GM IntelliLink, I was impressed of the better sound quality I was hearing. My 925 has served me well for three years and will be my backup phone if needed, but I am so glad I bought this Lumia 950. Hopefully T-Mobile will carry this phone soon so that the only feature that does not work, Wi-Fi calling, will begin working. Great job Microsoft with this new phone 

Rated 5 out of5 by fromExcellent ProductI've had the 950 several days now. I have liked my previous Windows phones and this is a good one, too. A little bigger and heavier than I'd prefer, but not objectionably so and not much different than the leading Android models. It has lot's of features, a really great display, excellent camera, feels nice, and on top of its 32 GB of memory I've added another 128 (200 max), so lot's of room for music, photo's and movies. Operation is smooth and fast, and call quality is very good. Battery life get's through the day easily and it charges up fast (under 2 hours). I haven't tried the continuum feature yet.I did have a bit of a challenge getting my Comcast email set up....the auto-setup routine for some reason added some numbers to the incoming and outgoing email server addresses, but once deleted it worked fine. And calendar syncing to my laptop's Outlook was you have to overlap 2 calendars on the laptop, but it does work fine once you figure that out.So, all in all, while a few hiccups...maybe to be expected in new products....I'm very happy with the device.
