Expression Encoder 4 Pro simplifies publishing video to Microsoft Silverlight. Encode a wide array of video file formats, stream live from webcams and camcorders, screen capture your PC, or import media with multi-channel and multi-track audio. Encoder Pro's designer-friendly user interface helps you make simple edits to video files and enhance your media with overlays and advertising. Choose from a range of player templates and publish rich media experiences with Microsoft Silverlight.

  • Add DVD-style chapters and bookmarks to media content, as well as a wide range of standard metadata and customizable meta tags
  • Using presets and the simplified profile panel, you can create a high-quality Silverlight experience without having to learn the science of video compression
  • A/B Compare provides a quick preview of encoding output, including multiple bitrate IIS Smooth Streaming content, with a split-screen viewer to compare against the original
  • Crop, scale, de-interlace, or remove pulldown to deliver the best possible compressed output
  • Protect your IIS Smooth Streaming content by linking your output to a PlayReady digital rights management (DRM) server with one simple checkbox
  • Publish web-ready media content in a complete Microsoft Silverlight 4 experience
  • Encode content to the industry standard H.264 format using a range of profiles, including Baseline, Main, and High, for viewing on many devices, including Microsoft Zune and Apple iPod
  • The VC-1 and H.264 codecs support both multiple cores and multiprocessor encoding, with dramatically improved encoding performance with appropriate hardware
  • Remove unwanted sections and then add channel idents, adverts, watermarks, or credits, and drop in multiple clips to deliver the best content experience possible, all using a new frame-accurate timeline
