Rated 5 out of5 byChef Jay fromI only use Word and have so since 1902 !!I recently bought a MacBook Air with Pages and since I have been using Word forever and since I am 76 years of age, I did not want to learn something new and since I am a little yahoo writer, I wanted to stay with Word.

Rated 5 out of5 byTonette fromGood for PC users switching to MacI bought this because I was switching to a Mac after years on a PC. It made everything seamless, all my files open up fine and it was familiar and easy to get started in the new Mac system. Well worth it!

Rated 4 out of5 bysunnyelf fromWorks for me!I've had Office for Mac installed for a couple of years now on both my iMac and my MacBook Air with no problems at all. The only reason I gave it a "good" rating instead of "excellent" is because I personally prefer using the Mac software instead (Pages/iWork) -- but that's just my preference. In terms of comparing how Office works on Windows and how it works on my Macs, it does equally well. I've used it as a student and for personal use.

Rated 5 out of5 byMercedesAMGFan fromExcellent Product.First, ignore all the bad reviewers about this product. I brought Mac Home and Student Office 2011 for my brand new Mac. It has been a wonderful product and is great for getting work done for college and home. Yes it runs on OS X Mavericks. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 3 out of5 byrobthehood fromIt could be much betterThe program loads and seems to run slow, which means it wasn't optimized for the Mac. Using crossover on the Mac I can get my older office 2007 to work, and it's faster than office 2011. However, my biggest issue is with Word.I use and create a lot of templates with drop down and date boxes; however, moving the document from Windows to the Mac does not work well at all. On the Mac the boxes are not fast or easily filled. Sometimes they don't work at all. Now I have to use only the PC or Mac version of office.Excel is Excel. I find that some of the bugs in the versions written 10 years ago still exist, but it works decently enough. My only complaint would be it seems some things are easier to use on the Mac and some things easier to use on a PC. If you learned the PC version then don't expect some items to be in the same place on the Mac and vice versa. The 2011 version of office is way better than the 2004, but I'm still always looking for alternatives.
