Multi-touch

A touch-enabled device is required to use any multi-touch functionality. However, all features and functionality are always available by using a keyboard, mouse, or other standard or accessible input device. Note that new touch features are optimized for use with Windows 8.

Additional System Requirements

Some functionality may vary, based on the system configuration. Some features may require additional or advanced hardware or server connectivity.

Note:   System requirements are rounded up to the nearest 0.5GB, to be conservative. For example, if we measure an application’s required hard disk space to be 1.99GB, we recommend 2.5GB of disk space. Our hard disk system requirements are intentionally larger than the actual disk space usage of the software.

A graphics processor helps increase the performance of certain features, such as drawing tables in Excel 2013 or transitions, animations, and video integration in PowerPoint 2013. Use of a graphics processor with Office 2013 requires a Microsoft DirectX 10-compliant graphics processor that has 64MB of video memory. These processors were widely available in 2007. Most computers that are available today include a graphics processor that meets or exceeds this standard. However, if you or your users do not have a graphics processor, you can still run Office 2013.

Ratings and reviews

Rated 2 out of5 by fromOlder user's experienceMy two week experience probably reflects that as an older user I'm not technically adept. But compared with my previous MS mail program (Windows Mail), I find Outlook hard to use. I bought a MS book (Outlook Step by Step) which has helped somewhat but the examples listed don't seem to fit my situation. So I was obliged to subscribe to a MS tech support package for help configuring things and to deal with issues that confound me. Thus far I consider Outlook 2013 to be a useful addition to my new WIN 10 PC, but I very much miss the simplicity of the old Windows mail.Harlan

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDon't InstallThis version of Outlook makes it incredibly difficult to stay organized and feels like I work at half the speed I used to be able to. Don't upgrade if you can avoid it. Very slow and freezes constantly.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWorks OkayI purchased this to upgrade from my Outlook 2007 because it kept crashing. So far it is working good - but some of the features that I liked with 2007 aren't the same in 2013. I like things the way I had them and I am having some problems with some of the small changes.
