Multi-touch

A touch-enabled device is required to use any multi-touch functionality. However, all features and functionality are always available by using a keyboard, mouse, or other standard or accessible input device. Note that new touch features are optimized for use with Windows 8.

Additional System Requirements

Some functionality may vary, based on the system configuration. Some features may require additional or advanced hardware or server connectivity.

Note:   System requirements are rounded up to the nearest 0.5GB, to be conservative. For example, if we measure an application’s required hard disk space to be 1.99GB, we recommend 2.5GB of disk space. Our hard disk system requirements are intentionally larger than the actual disk space usage of the software.

A graphics processor helps increase the performance of certain features, such as drawing tables in Excel 2013 or transitions, animations, and video integration in PowerPoint 2013. Use of a graphics processor with Office 2013 requires a Microsoft DirectX 10-compliant graphics processor that has 64MB of video memory. These processors were widely available in 2007. Most computers that are available today include a graphics processor that meets or exceeds this standard. However, if you or your users do not have a graphics processor, you can still run Office 2013.

Ratings and reviews

Rated 2 out of5 by fromTo- do bar totally unacceptable !!I am very unhappy with Microsoft.Problems with the "you have nothing scheduled in the next 7 days" message were noted two (2) years ago. I just purchased this software in 2015, and it still does not function correctly. Both the to-do bar and the pop up calendar display this stupid message, even though I have multiple appointments in the next few days.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromravingly averageBeing the latest of the long line of Outlook products I expected a little more. It's visually uninspiring and surprisingly bland. Somewhat clunky, and still freezes as past renditions will do. It does what it's supposed to do, when it works, but it should have been more. Nonetheless, I again bought it for sorting through my accounts.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromAverageI purchased it in order to get Outlook 2013. Outlook makes me login me with username and password and I have not been successful in eliminating that feature although I have tried more than once. Its annoying to have to sign in all the time.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromAs good as ever - ought to be better.I only give Outlook 4 stars because I still cannot find an email program any better, though I regularly get mad that in 2015, decades after email was invented, all email programs still leave a lot to be desired. With Outlook 2000 and 2003, I sometimes got messages stuck in my Outbox. This still happens with Outlook 2013! It could have something to do with my plug-ins, but when I turn them all off, it still happens. I thought it might have to do with sending read receipts, but I automatically NEVER send them, and it still happens. The only thing that works when things get stuck is to close the program, reopen it, and send IMMEDIATELY before whatever stops them is running. I've tried turning off my antivirus too, and that didn't solve it either. That said, it has fewer problems than ANY other email program I have tried. I get a lot of email that I don't bother deleting and have several archive files open all the time. I have auto-archive set to archive anything older than 3 months. I haven't EVER had an issue with an Outlook 2013 file getting corrupt. I cannot say the same for Outlook 2003 or the last few versions of Thunderbird (which I used to help a friend fix all too frequently).Searches take too long but are MUCH faster than on eM Client (which my friend and I tried recently). I normally run NEO Pro, a fantastic Outlook add-in that has all sorts of indexing and tracking features that are wonderful, keeping me running Outlook even when I was trying out eM Client, just so I could find old emails.(Microsoft would do well to buy NEO Pro and integrate the features with Outlook.)
