Multi-touch

A touch-enabled device is required to use any multi-touch functionality. However, all features and functionality are always available by using a keyboard, mouse, or other standard or accessible input device. Note that new touch features are optimized for use with Windows 8.

Additional System Requirements

Some functionality may vary, based on the system configuration. Some features may require additional or advanced hardware or server connectivity.

Note:   System requirements are rounded up to the nearest 0.5GB, to be conservative. For example, if we measure an application’s required hard disk space to be 1.99GB, we recommend 2.5GB of disk space. Our hard disk system requirements are intentionally larger than the actual disk space usage of the software.

A graphics processor helps increase the performance of certain features, such as drawing tables in Excel 2013 or transitions, animations, and video integration in PowerPoint 2013. Use of a graphics processor with Office 2013 requires a Microsoft DirectX 10-compliant graphics processor that has 64MB of video memory. These processors were widely available in 2007. Most computers that are available today include a graphics processor that meets or exceeds this standard. However, if you or your users do not have a graphics processor, you can still run Office 2013.

Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromWorks great on Surface Pro 1!Finally got the new 2013 version and it is great! Allows me to build large project schedules when my Surface is at my desk with a monitor attached, and still take it on the road to share. They must have updated the website since the other reviews, it clearly states OS requirements. Not sure why folks are forced to use Macs for work, but sounds like there are some workarounds for the Mac users that are doing PM work.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromFor the mac folks...Parallels Software runs impressively well on my iMac...allowing me to run a full range of Windows applications...including MS Project.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromWhat! no Mac version?!Please state clearly that there is no Mac version. I am one of several people that purchased from Microsoft store because the store did not spell out what platforms were supported.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromClearly the most sophisticated Project softwareProject stands apart from competing software in terms of capability and sophistication. The additions of the Reporting with feature-rich customization is fantastic. Software still suffers from longstanding problem where sometimes, resource leveling will just hang and there is no good / clear way to resolve. On complex projects this can be maddening. Still, there is no alternative software that comes anywhere near the capability in MS Project.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromProject on a MacFor the whiners, install Parallels on your Mac and you can run Windows apps on you Mac. Just because there is only a Windows version, doesn't mean MS isn't committed to a product. That said - I don't use MS Project or other MS products. But I just can't stand OS whiners.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNeed a Mac versionKills me that I can't use Project on a Mac. I use my Mac at the client site everyday and can not easily use Project without a VM. Not acceptable.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNot available for MacI need to use MS Project, but I also need to use a Macintosh. These needs are mutually exclusive because MS hasn't seen fit to port Project to the Mac OS. Lame! And more importantly it goes to show you that MS is not committed to this product.
