Share and comment in a web browser

Avoid having to save your diagram as a PDF or XPS document or having to paste it into a PowerPoint presentation just to share it.

Share your diagrams with your colleagues, partners, or customers using almost any device— even if they don’t have Visio installed.

Create visual SharePoint workflows

Create and publish SharePoint workflows visually with updated support for Windows Workflow Foundation 4.0 (including support for stages and loops and improved integration with Microsoft SharePoint Designer).

Use Visio to create visual Microsoft Project workflows for demand management, which work with both Project Server 2013 and Project Online.

Easily give and act on feedback

Enable others to add comments to a diagram from virtually any device, whether through Visio or through a browser using Visio Services (requires SharePoint Server or SharePoint Online).

Comments can be connected to a specific shape and will move with the underlying shape (even across pages).

Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2012

Required Memory

1GB RAM (32 bit); 2GB RAM (64 bit)

Required Hard Disk Space

2.0GB available

Required Display

Graphics hardware acceleration requires a DirectX 10 graphics card and 1024 x 576 resolution

Required .NET Version

3.5, 4.0, or 4.5

Multi-touch

A touch-enabled device is required to use any multi-touch functionality. However, all features and functionality are always available by using a keyboard, mouse, or other standard or accessible input device. Note that new touch features are optimized for use with Windows 8.

Additional System Requirements

Some functionality may vary, based on the system configuration. Some features may require additional or advanced hardware or server connectivity.

Note:   System requirements are rounded up to the nearest 0.5GB, to be conservative. For example, if we measure an application’s required hard disk space to be 1.99GB, we recommend 2.5GB of disk space. Our hard disk system requirements are intentionally larger than the actual disk space usage of the software.

A graphics processor helps increase the performance of certain features, such as drawing tables in Excel 2013 or transitions, animations, and video integration in PowerPoint 2013. Use of a graphics processor with Office 2013 requires a Microsoft DirectX 10-compliant graphics processor that has 64MB of video memory. These processors were widely available in 2007. Most computers that are available today include a graphics processor that meets or exceeds this standard. However, if you or your users do not have a graphics processor, you can still run Office 2013.

Ratings and reviews

Rated 1 out of5 by fromVISIO 2013 Is not what it used to beI've been using VISIO for 12 years. I recently upgraded to Visio Professional 2013 and the product no longer does what it used to. I have trouble saving files, I can't set it up to print on the back. I can't copy from one to diagram to another without VISIO changing the page size, it's much slower than the older visio, it's difficult to quickly find functions in the ribbon because everything is whitewashed - no definition, it will not save my print settings - it always defaults to printing one page at a time and on one side only. The shapes are 10 years out of date - when is the last time you heard of a network bridge or gateway or hub. need to print each page separately and then feed them into to a printer and have the printer print back to back. This product is a shell of what it used to be.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDatabase Reverse Engineering Removed Completely!Purchased 2013 for database engineering - that makes 2013 a complete failure - one star is generous from my perspective. (it's all about perspective)Will need to install old version of Visio now...
