Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromThe Xbox One vs. PlayStation 4I bought the Xbox One on release day, and now that I've had just about 4-5 months with it, I'm ready to review!Microsoft really did it big this time. The Xbox 360 was originally top-notch and led the Playstation 3 for most of its lifetime, and I expect the Xbox One to catch up to the PS4 in no time. Especially with Titanfall. The Xbox One's hardware isn't the best out there I'll admit, and I'm sort of a graphics/tech geek so this stuff draws me in. I gotta hand it to Sony for going with a great 1.84 Teraflops GPU while Xbox One only has 1.31, but I have yet to see big graphical differences between the two consoles except for frame rates and resolutions. However, the Xbox One has the better CPU being overclocked at 1.75 GHz, or 853 MHz, while the PS4 is only clocked at 1.6 GHz, or 800 MHz. As for their architecture, they both run on the well-known x86 architecture which is found on most PCs.The Xbox One controller isn't the best one ever made, but it'll do and the quality of it makes it feel like it'll last for years to come. As for the PS4 controller, they did add some cool looking innovations like the Touch Pad and Share buttons. The changes found in the Xbox One controller are nice touches like the precision sticks, impulse triggers, menu and list buttons, and the new D-Pad. The only problem I really found with this controller is the type of material used to craft it. Matte isn't always the best choice because it gets sweaty a bit to easily, but it'll do.As for the Games, Xbox One kicks the PlayStation 4 out of the competition. Xbox One came out with many great launch titles like FORZA Motorsport 5, RYSE: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Zoo Tycoon, etc. This is all while the PS4 only had Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack, and Resogun. It's really obvious who the winner is. Plus, the Xbox One has Titanfall, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Project Spark, a new Gears of War, etc. The PS4 is only loaded with a bunch of indie titles stolen from Steam on the PC. For AAA titles, they do have inFamous: Second Son, The Order 1886, Deep Down, Uncharted, etc. We could all see who has more coming so if you are buying a console for strictly games, the Xbox One is the best choice. Now let's take a look at the UI and software, The Xbox One has a familiar look with Windows 8, while the PS4 keeps its XMB from the Playstaion 3 but with more improvements like looking at all the information of a game just by hovering over it. However, I think the Xbox One is a winner in this department because Windows 8 has always been easy to use and the Games and Apps is sorted perfectly. As well as the Pins helping people out since they are just to the left of the dashboard.Overall, the winner is the Xbox One for now. If you are looking to buy a console right now, the best choice is the Xbox One for everything I stated plus the fact that Titanfall, the genre-defining FPS is just about to release in about a week. Standby for Titanfall!BECAUSE ITW

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGREAT INTERFACE , GREAT GAMING SYSTEM ,I pre ordered the xbox one during e3 and I am happy I did. it arrived on my doorstep promply at 9am on 11/22/13 the day of launch. its a super good all around gaming console that offers so much in terms of entertainment. It has a very easy interface, and if I know Microsoft, the xbox one will only get better and better as time passes just like the 360 did. Like a fine wine it only gets better with age. I have been with xbox since the day of inception and will continue to stick beside them because I love what they produce when it comes to gaming and entertainment. They go after great block buster games and try to make it ours in terms of exclusivity,,TITANFALL is just one example, not to mention HALO and a lot of others. It also seems like they are going out of their way this generation to try to capture even more exclusive rights to games and new IPs..(Sunset Overdrive to name just one !!!!!) That is super important when gaming on a console you should join the family. you wont regret it.
