Rated 2 out of5 byluperm fromWigglyThe charger can wiggle around in place and does not feel very secure. Also I've had it 4 months and the light on it already doesn't work so you can't tell if the Surface is charging or not unless you read the icon on the screen.

Rated 1 out of5 byscott_687 fromPoorly designedA friend and I bought surfaces at the same time. Both of ours were not working within 2 months. Charges extremely slowly, ie slower than it expends power if the surface is in use. Very poorly designed

Rated 1 out of5 byHarley mom fromDoesn't fit flushThe charger isn't made to fit the slanted edge of the surface 3. It falls out with any slight movement and although the the charge light is on, the surface isn't charging. Microsoft needs an adapter that has a slanted edge that allows a snug and secure fit. The charger is poorly designed.

Rated 1 out of5 bytfa8 frompro: micro usb type con: poorly mechanic designgood thing it's a micro usb type therefor universal usable as well can be easily replaced, bad thing is that fitting and overall design of the charging connector is poorly executed, you never know when it's plugged in and the small LED is no guarantee that it's actually charging, focus on details missing

Rated 1 out of5 byflyfisher frombad connectionIt seemed that my charger that came with my new Surface 3 was not charging correctly. Many times it seemed that it did not charge even leaving it over night. I discovered that the cable was very flaky ,i.e., sensitive on how you plugged it in to the Surface. I tried a high quality micro USB cable and it snapped into place snuggly and charges without a problem. I'll try to get a replacement cable.

Rated 1 out of5 byReii fromTroublesomeI can't believe that a company that put out such a wonderful device could screw up such a simple, necessary aspect of it. The non-flush issue didn't bother me much at first but after a few months it seems less and less of a secure connection because of this. Now, the light indicator will be on when plugged in but doesn't actually charge unless I forcibly press it in really hard. It doesn't ever feel right in place because there's nothing to support the back half of it. I can see how it would be easy to bend and break.

Rated 1 out of5 byeduty fromPoor designThis charger is awful from port to port. The power adapter takes up a lot of vertical space, blocking most of a standard US power outlet. As many other reviews have pointed out, the micro-usb cable provided with the adapter does not sit flush with the port and never makes a solid connection. You have to keep pressure on the plug to maintain a constant connection, otherwise the Surface will keep flipping between charging and not charging.
