Ratings and reviews

Rated 1 out of5 by fromAbsolutely Awful!I purchased publisher about two weeks ago and I was fairly happy with it until last night when it started to act up for no reason what so ever. I had been making a cook book and was about 40 pages deep when it added a text box to every page and then started to crash on me every time I try to edit or save the edits. I am deeply disappointed with the software. I wish Microsoft focused on quality over quantity of product they put out.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromBeware Ordering PublisherI work in a six computer office that has long used MS Publisher extensively. However, there are often compatibility issues between versions of Publisher, so I was hoping to upgrade all our workstations to Publisher 2016. As it turns out, this cannot be done without updating the entire suite of MS Office at all workstations, because the latest version of Publisher is incompatible with older Office products such as Word, etc. I found this hard to believe that a company's latest products would not be compatible with prior versions of their own products, but Customer service verified this for me. Sooo, I think this is the end of the line for us with MS Publisher, and perhaps with MS products generally. Before you buy Publisher, recognize that you might be committing to the expense and trouble of updating all your MS Office products at the same time. If that is not a good choice for you, pause to reconsider your other options.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromVery annoyed!Purchased this product but was shocked at download time to see that it is nto compatible with Office 2013 and that a download of this product would wipe out the Word/Access/Excel I have already on my machine. Why is this not put as a note on the product itself BEFORE you buy it and then have to go through the aggravation of getting a refund!

Rated 3 out of5 by fromDisappointedI purchased and downloaded Publisher 2016 off the internet. When I went to install it I was informed that the 2013 version of Office Home and Student that I had on my computer would be deleted and I would not be able to reinstall it as the 2 programs were not compatible. I gave it 3 stars because the process to credit my account was done swiftly without any hassles, but was surprised that Microsoft would make a product that was not comparable with another Microsift product.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromNot as easy to use as the previous versionTwo of the features I use don't work like the old version. I bought this so I could print items I created in 2007.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromApparently Not Compatible with Office 2013 apps.We purchased this product and had to return it, because upon installation, it gave us the following error message -- "Stop, you should wait to install Office 2016. We’ll have to remove the following if you continue:" Office 2013 Small Business Edition.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromMac cannot be dismissed anymoreCreative Designer, and clients with .PUB files might as well be using MS Works, because finding ANY app for mac that will read them, let alone convert or edit them, is frustratingly futile. Come on microsoft, at least put a mac os x .PUB converter out there.
