Rated 2 out of5 by fromDual Monitor Bug Still not ResolvedThe dock works 4/5 times connecting it. The workaround is to disconnect one of the mini displayports and reconnect it. This will fixe the 1/5 times the monitors do not turn on. Seeing a lot of similar complaints online about it unfortunately. Hopefully there is a software fix possible in the future if not it's just kind of annoying.Disappointing it even made it through QA with such an obvious issue (tried other monitors seeing the same thing).

Rated 3 out of5 by fromSCREEN FLICKERINGAs mentioned many times already, by others, the screen flickering is too much. To the point where you can not leave it pugged into other displays, though everyone else thinks its a riot that two of my screens are "dancing". Other ports are useful, though all together not worth it with screen issues

Rated 3 out of5 by fromGood but not Quite There YetSo far I've had a great experience with the dok...when it works. Issues I have run into so far:1. When hot-docking/undocking using the surface pro 4, it will not successfully detect the external monitors connected to the dock. If I put the surface to sleep and THEN dock it, the monitors work fine.2. Icons in windows will not actively scale between the external monitors and the surface. Most application that DO support active DPI scaling work fine between the external monitors and the surface, but some applications like Skype for Business do not scale correctly in addition to icons on the desktop including default Windows icons. It works well when it does work, and I hope microsoft gets it fixed, as we have a work environment that requires desk and mobile work. This means the surface is an ideal candidate with the dock, but it's not there yet. I wish it was because the pro 4 and type cover are both very very nice pieces of hardware, but the hardware also needs to work as intended and it's not 100% yet.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromgood design, still flawsUsing this dock with my SP3. The form factor is great (it's bulky especially with the power supply, but tucked on the back of my desk, this is fine) - plenty of USB ports, mDPs, and I get to tilt my surface to my heart's content. Those are all pros. The issues:The connection to the SP3 is very tenuous, doesn't take much to disconnect it and often have to fiddle a bit to have it connect properly in the first place. When connected to the Dock, my surface wakes up from hibernate (can't use sleep because it's still broken for me in W10) all the freaking time. So I have to unplug it when I've enabled hibernate.External displays behave completely differently connected to the dock versus connected directly to the surface. Not all cables work anymore, there are particularly issues with DP (I'm using a mDP to HDMI and that works okay), but the monitor will not go into sleep while plugged into the dock with the SP3 off. This is crazy making. So I'm plugged directly into the surface (starting to defeat the purpose of the dock & this wouldn't be an option with two external displays). When using the dock for the external display, my windows do not recover properly - when waking, first the Surface screen kicks in and then the external display, so windows get resized and some crash. It's no good. (this is the real reason I connect directly into the surface). Why I've kept the dock: I get to keep my SP3 power supply in my bag, and the dock has lots of USB ports that are handy. If additional SP3 power supplies weren't so expensive, I'd probably just get a spare and use that.Really, really hoping for some firmware issues that fix these problems. Because using the dock as intended is maddening.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromMany glitches, especially with external monitorsSurface Book with Surface Dock: first one I had was hugely problematic with recognizing external monitors and USB devices. Replaced it at the Microsoft Store (excellent service) and now much better, but still can't recognize a new Dell external monitor after Sleep mode. I have to hard power reboot the dock (i.e. unplug it) to get it to recognize the external screen. You've got the makings of an amazing system here, Microsoft, but no matter how cool it is when it works, the continuous stream of little bugs like this really undermines it...

Rated 1 out of5 by fromScreen FlickeringI purchased this a week ago along with a new monitor for my home office. I am sad to say that I have a constant screen flickering that started a few days ago. I talked to a few tech friends that said it could be the screen. To test it out I bypassed the dock and went straight to the Minidisplayport on the side of the Surface Pro 3. No flickering. I hope microsoft has an answer or a fix soon or else this is going back.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromMiniDisplayport doesn't workJust purchased to use with my Surface Pro 4. No issues with the USB or Ethernet ports, but the mini displayports are not working. I've got mini displayport to DVI cords, which work fine when plugged directly into the SP4, but don't do anything when plugged into the dock. Display settings shows the monitors, but nothing I do can get the video to display. I have updated the Firmware. I was hoping to have this dock in my two offices and home, and using my SP4 as my full-time and only computer, but at this point I can't.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWorks well... happy to regain my desk spaceOnly 4 starts because of 1) friction in setting it up and 2) Mini Display Ports do not scale up to full resolution of the external monitors.1) If you just plug in the dock, Surface Pro 3 won't recognize it. LED starts blinking and SP3 will go on/off charging. After chatting with support, realized that I need to run Windows Update while connected to the dock. This installed a new firmware on SP3 and after a reboot, everything worked.2) Mini Display port doesn't scale the picture to full screen on my external monitor. Display resolution is bad. If I connect the same monitor to the MDP port on the SP3, it works fine. Maybe MSFT needs to update display drivers.
