Rated 1 out of5 by fromConstantly crashes when processing 30 minute videoIt works fine for short videos, but for a bit longer videos (like 30 minutes) - it crashes. I am very disappointed, since I thought Microsoft cares about product quality. Also, set of features in this product is very limited, if you take a price into account. The thing that I need most for my video project - a variable speed control to make a really smooth video, since camera moves at different speeds in the original video. Also would be cool to see camera path visualisation.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromCan't get past "New Project" screen, only can openI really *really* want to like this app, but I can't create new projects - the app only lets me open existing projects. I see that new builds have been released as of a month ago - which is great - but not being able to create new projects now is a buzzkill :-/

Rated 1 out of5 by fromGreat Technology, Untested AppThis some amazing technology from Microsoft but the UX was clearly an afterthought. In trying the trial version of Hyperlapse Pro, I encountered the following -1. The landing page/screen has what appears to be a broken twitter feed.2. Selecting the Options… menu shows two options with broken buttons that are unreadable.2a. Selecting the About dialog is also unreadable, with several blank grey squares.3. Clicking “Start Project” just pops up an open dialog. There is no prior indication what I’m expected to open, nor supported file types. An MP4 file fortunately worked.4. The settings screen for a project doesn’t fit on the screen of my 15” MacBook Pro. I think I can see everything, but who knows?5. The labels for Resolution and Framerate under settings are swapped. At least, I certainly don’t know of a framerate for 1280x720.6. There’s a checkbox for “End credit” with nothing to indicate what this does, or if purchasing Hyperlapse Pro will change this feature.7. The default save location for a project is located under /private/var, which no normal user will ever access.8. If I open an existing project and try to view the output video I just created from within the app, I can apparently only overwrite the existing video.9. The file type for a project isn’t associated with the app, so double clicking on a project I just saved doesn’t open Hyperlapse Pro.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromVery disappointing experienceUnfortunately, the application crashes directly after opening a video file (mov and mp4). Makes me sad, since the project and resulting videos are super freaking awesome :/

Rated 5 out of5 by fromFantastic technology, but unusable implementationThe Hyperlapse technology is PHENOMENAL. Please go watch demo videos from Microsoft Research if you haven't already. Nevertheless, the application itself keeps crashing literally every time I use it, making it completely unusable. It seems like Microsoft is missing out on a market opportunity: every video amateur friend whom I showed Hyperlapse was CRAZY excited and was ready to shell out the money on the spot.Given the lack of media campaign surrounding the launch, I suspect that the commercial project was launched somewhere on the side, to test the initial market response. If that's the case, please let it be known that video amateurs have a burning desire to use the software, provided that it works. Dear Microsoft, please fix video format issues, native MacOS resource management, throw in a few adjustable options for a power user, and launch a proper media campaign! $$$!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNot usable at all! This software does not work at all, even after the "big big" annonced update. I can choose a video but can not see any image in the preview. When I try to proceed the video after the settings dialog the app crashes. Nope, I will never ever buy this app!
