I cannot get to the firmware update or app on the windows store. gives me a download box, when I click on it nothing happens. While it works it is great, but not so when it freezes.

Sometimes it is even a struggle just to connect, other times it produces a blocky picture on the tv screen and often disconnects completely. I have never watched a movie/Netflix show without some sort of hassle. Honestly my household uses the computer/internet for so much viewing that it makes me wish I never purchased the Surface to begin with (no hdmi plug)

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWorks quite wellConnects reliably. A little too much delay for games, but fine for movies etc. There were two issues. My TV lacks USB, so I used a phone charger rated at 2 amps which worked perfectly. But I needed that charger for my phone, so I substituted a 500 mA charger, and surprise...the connection failed every time. Since 500 mA is the standard maximum current for USB 1 and 2, many TVs with USB 1 or 2 connectors might not be able to power this adapter. The second issue is over-scan. The outer 5 percent or so of the picture shows up on the computer screen, but is outside the viewing area on the TV.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromGreat - but inconsistentI have been using the display adapter with my Surface Pro 4 for about two weeks. I am a university professor and I use the adapter to connect my Surface Pro to the projector system in my classroom. I have found that the adapter is inconsistent during the link process - sometimes connecting immediately and other times it takes several attempts to make the connection. The range of the adapter is also inconsistent sometimes dropping the link if I move more than a few feet away from the podium. I had thought that I would be able to move throughout the classroom, but this has not proved possible.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromSlow than older versionolder wireless adapter (made by Microsoft) does not have lag issues as this new version. There is a delay in video stream from surface pro 3 and pro 4 screen to my tv, when streaming full screen YouTube or online website video. I do not have any lag with the older generation. hopefully Microsoft fixes this with firm ware update.

Wireless Display Adapter works impeccably in every single application with which I tried it and always amazes my audiences as I walk around the room with my Surface Pro 3, wirelessly projecting what ever I have on my screen - including Video Clips, Powerpoint and even MS OneNote which I use as a digital flipchart / white board I can email them after the presentation! The thing even works flwlessly with my windows phone and my android tablet.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMust have with Lumia 950 series/ Windows ContinuumIn short, if you have a recent (2015-2016) Microsoft Product, buy it. Windows Continuum on my Lumia 950 XL work flawlessly with it, and I have tested this with multiple devices (projector, TV, PC monitor) displaying 1080p at 60Hz. No noticeable lag when using a wireless mouse or keyboard like the old version.
