Microsoft Answer Desk

At Microsoft, help is available all day, every day – and in any way that suits you best. Because we know that accidents happen, glitches occur and problems can't often wait to be resolved until regular business hours, the Microsoft Answer Desk is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by people who know our products better than anyone else.

In order to help you get the information you need to get your device back on track, get your software up and running, or get buying advice, we offer live chat, email, telephonic and in-store assistance. This way, you can contact us on your schedule and spend the rest of your day focusing on the things that matter most.

For on-going maintenance, accident protection and added peace of mind, we also offer software and hardware support plans that cover it all.

Software: Available at a variety of levels, our Software Support Plans offer on-going PC help for issues that may include virus removal, general tune-ups, personal training, security settings, reliability, and stability. And if you need to streamline and optimize your online experiences, we can help you do that, too. In addition, you'll also get access to one-on-one appointments with an Answer Tech at the Microsoft help desk.

Hardware: If you have a Microsoft laptop or desktop computer, tablet, mobile phone, band, or game system, our Hardware Support Packages can help keep your device working like new. Available with a range of support options, our hardware packages offer protection against accidental damage, data loss, defects, malfunctions and more. In addition, many plans include personal training (virtually or at your local Microsoft store), and software support, as well as on-going access to the Answer Techs at the Microsoft Answer Desk.

If a support plan isn't part of your plan, you can still connect with one of our Answer Techs for expert advice on your schedule. Or, if you're a do-it-yourselfer, you can browse our video library, or visit the Microsoft Support page, choose the type of item you need help with (e.g. PC, Windows, Surface, Xbox), then peruse our most popular topics.
