Installation and FAQ

How do I install Office?

After purchase, you can install Office at www.office.com/myaccount. For more information, see the FAQ.

What's the difference between Office 365 plans and Office 2016 suites?

Office 365 plans include the complete suite of Office applications, plus other services that are enabled over the Internet, including extra cloud storage with OneDrive and Skype minutes for home use. With Office 365 you get the fully installed Office experience on PCs, Macs, tablets (including Windows, iPad, and Android) and smartphones. Office 365 plans are available as a monthly or annual subscription. With Office 365, upgrades are always included with your subscription.

Office 2016 suites, including Office Home & Student and Home & Business, include applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote; they are available as a one-time purchase for use on a single PC or Mac. The applications are not automatically updated; to get the latest version, you must purchase Office again when the new version becomes available.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromTook a while to get rightI bought this today and had three goes of downloading it and finally it worked, third time lucky. Slow download speeds were probably the reason. I hope nothing goes wrong from here.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMicrosoft Office Home & StudentIt might be a little too early for the review on this product because I just bought around two/three weeks ago however, it seems to be working just fine for me right now. I expected it to work superbly being a Microsoft product as the rest might be deficient? Thank you for asking.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromUrgh!I bought this product two months ago. I set up a Microsoft Account, entered my product key and registered the product when using EXCEL for the first time. I have now tried to use Word. It says my trial period has expired and that I need to register the product. I've gone to my email account, copied my product key, entered that (again) and it asks me to sign into my account. I sign in once and follow some instructions. Takes me to another page that asks me to sign in again (I've done that already, but okay). Sign in a second time. The only option available to me is to 'install' Office. I have already installed it, so I exit thinking entering the product key was enough. I start word again (I had already entered my product key for the second time). It says my trial period has expired and that I need to register the product. I enter my product key for the third time. It asks me to sign into my account (again), so I sign in (again) and get taken to another page asking me to sign in yet again. Getting sick of entering in the same details, but okay. So I sign in yet again (lost count of how many times now) and this time I bite the bullet and click the 'install' button. So I am installing Office for the second time. Thank you for wasting my time and internet plan. Urgh. Why do they have to make this all so freaking hard and annoying. I am hoping the second download will work. Otherwise I will be .... rather than simply annoyed.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromOffice is the tool of school workLook its okay as these things go but I kinda miss having Publisher too I tried to load this too and it detected that I've Office 2016 and stopped my Publisher from loading. So anything made for Publisher will just have to wait till a new Publisher is made. I use all these things for TAFE Homework and so does my daughter and she is in High school. I am sure everyone else does too because school recommends every student has MS Office on there laptop or tablet pc. I just they'd make batteries last a bit longer.
