Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat little phone for a tiny price!First off, let me start by saying that I am with Rogers and the phone does work fine on the Rogers network in case some were wondering. The good:- The screen is bright and clear.- There is no lag in the menus.- Reception is on par with my HTC One M8.- Call clarity is good.- MicroSD slot. Nice!- The overall look and feel of the phone is nice.- Build quality is good and solid.- Phone is nice and light.- Comes with free case and screen protector!- Upgradable to Win10 when it becomes availabe. The So-so:- headphone jack placement. I hate it.- Speaker placement...why the back? The bad:Nothing yet! So far so good.Overall I like the phone a lot and it works just as it should.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromSerious IssuesGot this phone 6 months ago and it already has some serious issues. When charging the battery will act like its draining and the phone will shut off multiple times. When not charging the battery will display a false charge and will 'drain' itself until it shuts off. The phone has to be turned back on about every two hours, it will then show a proper charge for about 30 seconds before restarting the 'battery drain.' It has also recently begun to drop wifi sources, even when they are strong signals, forcing you to use your data unknowingly. The only recommended fix that I haven't tried is sending it back to BLU.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromCompared to Lumia 625Compared to Lumia 625, The Blu HD LTE phone is lacking features and apps that I often use from Nokia. But the blu phone isn't bloated with unwanted applications that also makes the phone clean, plain and basic Windows Phone. I'd give it a 3 stars because I prefer the Blu HD none LTE design better with removable battery, power and volume buttons, camera and back cover placement; also like the side of none LTE... But I wanted LTE.Would I recommend to a friend? Yes; if a friend wanted plain and basic phone without extra features.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromGood alternative for providers on (1700-2100 MHz)Had to replace old HTC Windows phone 8s on a 1700-2100 MHz network. Difficult to find Nokia phones supporting those bands. Ordered the BLU Win HD LTE and very satisfied.Performance and responsiveness is very good and display is impressive. Only drawbacks is photo quality (colors are too much saturated) and audio quality wich is much lower than my old HTC with Beats Audio.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromI had a bad experience with this phoneThere were 2 reasons I bought this phone - dual SIM & upgrade-able to Win10. I then found out upgrade path is unknown even though Win10 has been released for years. Then the dual SIM feature, what can I say?! Only one slot supports LTE, the other slot must be reduced to 2G/GSM. Since Bell no longer supports 2G, only one of my two Bell SIM cards can work at a time, but not both! Worse I've been directed to the WinPhone support line, as if they would agree to release a s/w patch for this h/w shortcoming. But nonetheless I called the 1800# which, after I answered a couple questions, directed me to go browse http://windowsphone.com/help!Sigh!

Rated 4 out of5 by fromGood phoneComing from an apple environment, I was looking for an inexpensive Windows phone to give the OS a try. Obviously, this is not an iPhone and I wasn't expecting it to be one, but it is a very decent and capable phone with some very nice features. The phone feels great, it's light, has a nice display and is very responsive. I use it with a 7-11 SpeakOut account and it works flawlessly... still need to try the dual sim with my t-mobile account so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that it will also work.Overall I'm very happy with the phone and will be purchasing a second one for my wife.Quick note for potential iphone converts, this os is very simple and quite similar to iOS so the learning curve is quick. One of my main concerns was my calendar... with Windows 8.1 you can add your icloud account so all your events and appointments sync flawlessly... and so do your contacts... nice :)

Rated 3 out of5 by fromAn average phoneI had been looking for a dual sim phone that works on AWS for a long time. Besides this BLU Win HD LTE, the only other 2 phones I found are: Sony Xperia Z3 D6633 (priced between $600-$800) and Lenovo K910. I decided to go with BLU Win HD LTE mostly due to its price tag (Lenovo K910 has a comparable price tag and better specs, but I'm not 100% sure if it works on AWS and it has no slot for extra memory). Here are the pros and cons based on my experience in the last few days. Pros: - Supports dual sim, so I can be reached even when I'm inside a big building where AWS signal cannot reach; - Has MicroSD slot for extra memory; - Longer battery life (compare to Nexus 4). Cons: - Terrible camera, no HDR, auto focus for video shooting is a nightmare; - Max volume is still too low for some calls; - Wifi signal picking up is not good. Haven't tried any gaming yet, but based on its specs, I won't expect too much. Overall, the phone is OK, but not great.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromSolid, reliable easy-to-use phoneI bought this phone when I decided to switch to Wind mobile and the dual SIM card allows me to link to dual networks. I've had the phone and Wind Mobile for 6 weeks and I've experienced a stellar experience. The features I like most on this phone and use without thought are the live tiles, alerts and productivity tools (Cortana, MS Office, texting, outlook, etc.).Using Cortana is easy to find and better organize web search results. I can easily look-up a restaurant or location while on the go and the web-search includes quick links to mapping (when available), calling, web-site, ratings and feedback. My text alerts and interactivity with Cortana allow me to respond to text with very few interactions with the screen.I also use Cortana to speak in my calendar details, notes, reminders, etc. and it saves me a bunch of time and helps me be very organized. For those of you who do a lot of cross boarder travel I suggest you get this phone because you can get a US SIM card and switch from US to Canada coverage if that's where you travel. I switched to Wind because their North American package gave me such coverage without any issue. But the biggest wow factor was the battery life. I use the phone constantly with WIFI on and play games, use Excel, Word and PowerPoint on my phone and I charge my phone once, every-other day.
