Ratings and reviews

Rated 2 out of5 by fromGood Monitor but Issues with Screen Going BlankI purchased this monitor to connect to Surface Pro 3. Once connected using the supplied cables and my SP3 docking station I noticed it would go blank randomly for about 1 to 2 seconds. For the price of the monitor it should not be having issues syncing with my SP3. After going on some support pages it appears to be an issue with the DP 1.2 feature. You have to disable the DP1.2 feature which means you can't have monitors daisy chained together. One of the feature that I what to have access to in the future. I like the size of the monitor but why should I pay so much for a monitor that does not function properly. I'm considering returning it for just that reason.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromStunningIts unreal how amazing this thing is. One thing to note not mentioned, you need to manually change the input using the touch sensors when you initially set it up. This is due to the multiple devices you can hook up to it.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromThe best 3440x1440 IPS curved display right nowU3415W is Dell's first 34" Ultrawide display, and rumors of the display have been floating around even in late 2013. The monitors that are available now are the revision A01. This is a monitor that shares the same panel with the LG 34 inch, but the factory color calibration, the quality of the packaging and the versatility of the stand are far superior to all other offering at this moment. The resolution of 3440x1440 is a step up from 2560x1400 or 2560x1600 displays. Although it is not as tall as the 16:10, the width gain makes multitasking on this single display very doable. You can easily divide the real estate into three different windows for browsing. I think that it is a good alternative to getting dual monitors.Color reproduction on this display is lovely. I did not need to calibrate it much out of the box. The monitor does exhibit backlight bleed as with all IPS displays. The display will not match a TN monitor in input lag (expect 5-8ms,) but the display gives you vibrant, gorgeous colors. This display is curved slightly, and it is not a gimmick given the sheer width in the field of view that the display commands. I use this display about 45cm away from it, and it proves to be less straining on the neck than a dual-monitor setup. The stand can pivot, tilt and adjust height. This is the best stand out of all the 34" ultrawide monitors on the market. Moreover, the monitor has VESA stand mounting holes, so mounting the display is no issue. This display requires no tool for assembly, and it is a huge plus to just snap the stand in when you are setting the display up.Port wise, this display has MHL, DisplayPort and HDMI support. It has a USB 3.0 hub, but the USB port placements will limit its use as a hub. the 3.5mm stereo out is not very practical. The built-in speaker that is encased at the bottom of the display is nothing to write home about either. Some games will not scale properly to the 21:9 aspect ratio, but most titles in this decade do play nice with this display. This monitor has no Freesync support, but Dell may introduce this through firmware upgrade at a later date. Even without this Freesync, the display is capable of managing 60Hz through displayport, and anything short of intense FPS will be acceptable.U3415W is a premium Ultrasharp line display, and I find it a superb monitor even before factoring in the price. I highly recommend this monitor if you are looking an ultra-widescreen monitor.
