Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat for Signage TV DisplayI bought this unit, mainly to play powerpoint files (and MP4 videos) on a 42 inch TV to be used as a TV Signage Display.Works like a charm without any over heating, and Idea Stick and TV had been on for more than 48 hours straight (so far, and counting)

Rated 5 out of5 by fromWorks PerfectlyI have a Samsung SmartTV and find the interface for web browsing, YouTube, and Netflix is clumsy. I purchased this to replace that interface. Once I installed, configured, and updated the Win10 OS I found this device to be excellent. It is not the fastest thing in the world but does live up to it's capabilities. The N5902 Multimedia Remote that came with it works perfectly. One minor issue was that the PC stick 300 dongle did not like being hidden behind my TV. I had to get a longer M/F HDMI extension cable to bring the device in front of the TV. The Wi-Fi connection stability was much better once that was done. Again - a minor issue.I can not wait to take test it when "on the road".I would not hesitate to recommend the Ideacentre Stick 300 & N5902 remote.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat deviceThe unit is exactly as advertised. What I am surprised about is how fast it actually is. Boot time is very quick. Netflix and CraveTV work perfectly. It was very difficult finding upgrade information on the device. (for the MicroSD card) I talked with tech support on the Lenovo website and I am still waiting for them to reply with an answer. (You can add up to 128 gig) I tested the unit with a Powerpoint presentation and I believe that is where it's real value come into play. I will be using the stick for trade shows and family gatherings.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromQuick small computerI bought this as a mail client and a one drive document source but it turned out to be a full fledged PC running win10. I was so surprised I use it constantly, especially when I travel ( make sure tv in hotel have HDMI). It slows down when many windows are open especially those that require heavy processing but all in all it does the job splendidly.Just a little too expensive from MS store as compared to other sources, but still a good buy!

Rated 4 out of5 by fromExcellent value and durabilityI purchased this as a spare computer for my home and to work with. I like the fact that it takes up no space in my office as it simply connects to the back of my TV. I use it for certain tasks such as to transfer files from network drives to cloud, and other tasks and I connect to it for such tasks remotely from other computers. I like using it for apps such as Netflix on my TV, as this means that I can use a mouse and keyboard for navigation and searches on the Netflix app, which I find more convenient than other remote input devices such as the generic on TV keyboard. So far the computer has been running for a week without being turned off and overheating does not seem to be an issue, which surprised me for a device so small. What helps with cooling is the fact that the bracket that attaches the device to the back of the TV seems to leave a nice sized gap between device and the surface of the TV, which helps promote ventilation around the unit. One thing to be aware of is that the power necessary for this unit will likely be greater than what your TV USB power port will output, so you will likely need to use the provided power adapter, so make sure that you have an extra power outlet available on your power bar for this. This also means that if your TV is attached to a bracket on the wall, and you do not have a spare power plug in the back of the unit then you will likely have to run a USB extension down to an area where there is an extra outlet.I am disappointed that the multimedia remote is not a Bluetooth device and you therefore need to use the singe USB slot for the multimedia dongle. This is where the rating lost one star. You can add a USB switch, but I have not tried to do so yet, nor do I anticipate needing more USB ports for this device. While the included multimedia remote is perfectly usable once you get used to how to hold it in hand while typing, I did connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to the unit, and I do prefer it to the multimedia remote, and this frees up the single USB port. The 32GB storage does not leave much space, so I do recommend adding a microSD card if you need extra storage space.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat little PCBought in Nov 2015 (no remote). Great for streaming, downloading and browsing. Ok at multi-tasking but remember it's an atom core. It's great as a living room PC if you don't have a tablet or laptop. Will buy another for my other TV.
