A: The reality is that most computers, including Macs, can get malware. A combination of safe web browsing habits and antivirus software can help protect you and your computer. A: Yes, your iPhone and Surface Pro 3 will get along really well. If you use iCloud to back up your photos and other content, iCloud for Windows will make that content available to Surface Pro 3. If you've been manually syncing your iPhone with your MacBook via iTunes, you can do the same with Surface Pro 3. Simply download iTunes to your Surface Pro 3, plug your iPhone's sync cable into the USB port of Surface Pro 3, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Is Surface Pro 3 compatible with iCloud?

A: Yes, you can use iCloud with your Surface. You might also want to consider using OneDrive to back up your iPhone photos and sync them (and your documents) between your iPhone and other devices. OneDrive comes with 15GB of free storage and works on PCs, Macs, tablets, and mobile phones.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromBattery fails after warranty expiresMy SP3 was purchased in late Nov. 2014 and has just started losing battery capacity since the end of May. It has lost 77% battery capacity in the last month and a half. It takes only 40 min for it to go from a full charge to shutdown doing only very minimal tasks.I see many others with the same problem yet MS does not offer a reasonable fix.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromAn essential for students!I am so happy with my Surface Pro 3! As a student, it helps me tremendously with school as I regularly take my lecture notes on it, as well as annotate my professors' lecture slides. The pen is very easy and smooth to use. I can use my Surface as a laptop and also as a tablet, which is a great feature. I also find that the Microsoft updates are very good too, as after each update, I find that my Surface's charge is lasting longer. I do really recommend Surface Pro to all my classmates and to all students out there who want to make their note-taking and studying easier and more efficient. I hope this review helped you a little bit. Good luck looking for your perfect device!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDoesn't last long.....I loved the device, until the warranty period ended. As soon as my warranty ended, started having a ton of issues with the Surface Pro 3. Battery won't hold a charge; hibernate sometimes works and sometimes not, overheats, and overall operates sluggishly and poorly. Pretty expensive device as you have to plan to replace it after a year.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromGreat tablet/laptop but screen breaks easilyI love my surface pro 3. However, screen cracks easy and had to get it replaced once and it cracked again later. (If you must buy this, then do get extended warranty). After 2 years of use keyboard and touch pad start to give problems.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDisappointed - Over Heating - Non Functional***couldn't post in Surface Pro 4*** forum as I already posted comment - however my comment never showed up (why does it keep getting removed?!)So I started out with the SP3 a week ago as the store at Yorkdale mall in Toronto offered me a discount towards any device in the store, initially I had taken my all-in-one PC by Gateway to be repaired, but there was a mass buy-out of the hard drive which my computer needed. So I asked whether they had the SP3 i5 256 but they did not have any, they only had the SP3 i3 128GB w/ 4GM RAM. I had it for a week but within two days I noticed that a pixel had burnt out. Today or rather yesterday, the team at Yorkdale assisted by upgrading me to the SP4 128 GB w/ 4GM RAM. It is 2:23am and I arrived home around 9pm. I recorded several videos on my camera where you can hear the fans blasting at high speeds, the browser is constantly freezing and not responding to any touch points. I've used the pen and it too has been having difficulty responding in terms of working to simply close a browser. About 5 times I've opened a window to watch an old program from "watchseries" and the page simply does not comply. I did not have this issue with the SP3, I had 8 windows opened on the Pro 3 and did not experience any of us. Initially I was going to take the SP3 again as there was only one left in stock after the one I returned. I would much much rather have a Surface Pro 3 i5 with 256GB or the i7 if they were available in the store but they are not. Microsoft team, what can we do about this? I also just ran an update about an hour ago, I have seen plenty of videos and reviews about similar issues but how does these newer devices not live up to their potential? This is not only disappointing, but I was really looking forward to upgrading later to the SP4 as I would use it for my training at the Toronto Police academy. We are recommended to use laptops and not tablets, I love Windows/Microsoft products, but I cannot say how disappointed I was when I allowed the Pro 4 to charge up this evening for 3 hours. I powered it off, turned it back on, but when I began to simply turn everything on, before I opened the internet itself, the bottom frame of the device began to heat up and burn my legs. This did not happen with the Pro 3 which was extremely quiet and didn't have any issues. I will be returning to Yorkdale mall early this morning and taking the Pro 4 back, I am sorely disappointed that I was not able to find or buy a Pro 3 with an i5 or i7. This device was going to be my tool and work horse but I am not convinced at this point, so I would like to know, what can we do to resolve this issue? I have used Windows products for the last 16 years and it works brilliantly with my Blackberry Passport SE, the two together are a great force, Windows/Blackberry makes life simple and easy! So I would love to continue using your products if they can only live up their expectations, so far, I've been let down. Let's find a solution?Note: Where did this comment originally go 24 hours ago when I posted it? It was removed! I returned my Surface Pro 4 this evening at Yorkdale and left feeling disappointed by Microsoft. No SP3 i5 at the store or online. So seriously, my only option is the SP3 i7 256G. Three problems in the span of 3 weeks, all starting because one employee claimed the hard-drive was in stock when he couldn't tell a laptop chip from an all-in-one?! So again Microsoft team, what are we going to do? I am without a computer as my original one could not be repaired, you don't have the Surface Pro in stock that I wanted and the SP4 hasn't impressed, read your comments and find a solution, but in the meanwhile, how will you keep me as a loyal customer?YES I would recommend the Surface Pro 3 i3 or i5 either 128 or 256 but NOT the Surface Pro 4 of any kind!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromdon't waste your time and moneyI purchased a Surface pro 3 i5/256. It had problems with software within the first couple months of having it. Next the touch screen wouldn't work and the device was replaced. The replacement came with Windows 10 and has some compatibility issues with OneNote Desktop (the main reason I got the device) so I was unhappy about that. After less than 3 months with the replacement device and limited capabilities, the touch screen no longer works. The pen no longer works. It has to replaced again. All within about one year of getting the device. So, with many, many hours wasted on the phone to the Surface Support team and in the store itself sorting things out I would never, never recommend this product or any Microsoft product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromVery good tablet/laptopI bought this on boxing day sale and I am really happy with the purchase. The configuration is good enough for home use laptop (software such as MS Office), is perfect for watching media (Netflix, Shomi, personal movies, downloaded movies). I was impressed with the Wifi capabilities, I get a Wifi signal in any corner of our 3 levels house (including basement). The keyboard is a must if you want to use it as a laptop. I didn't buy the pen and I using a Bluetooth mouse instead and it works perfectly. I bought this as an alternative to an IPad Air, (we already own one of those) but for a little bit of extra money you can have a personal laptop.
