Rated 1 out of5 by fromDon't know how the features areI tried an upgrade on my laptop. It couldn't do the upgrade after half way thru then crashed my laptop and put it into the setting start up circle. This is after the upgrade told me my laptop was compatible for windows 10. I hade to take it to get fixed and reinstall windows 7. I use this computer to hme school my autistic son . I would not recommend it untill all the bugs are worked out it really messed up my laptop forever.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromRuns great, But wouldn't buy it.As a free upgrade as I got Windows 10 it is great. No major issues that I wouldn't expect from any O/S during an upgrade (planning is always key during upgrades)Runs great.. Fast, Smooth, stable.Reason I say I wouldn't buy it would be I think Microsoft needs to rethink thier pricing models. The only reason I upgraded is because of the free offer, I dont expect it to be free but I dont feel there is enough there to even come close to spending 149 or 249 on the OS.I think if they can manage to give it away for free over the last 12 months I'm sure they can come up with more reasonable pricing which may also bring some that wouldn't ever upgrade in line.Bottom line is Great OS, pricing is out to lunch (as it always is)Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of5 by fromWorks great when you do a clean installUpgrading from 7 or 8 to 10 usually leaves a mess. So back up all your data, erase your machine, install from scratch and reinstall your programs.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWindows 10: A Missed Potential for ExcellenceI'm going to keep this review short and stick to pointing out what needs to be addressed the most in my opinion. While I completely appreciate Microsoft's goals and desires to streamline the Windows 10 User Interface into a product suitable for multiple platforms using multiple methods of user inputs (e.g. Touchscreen, Keyboard + Mouse, Voice-Operated), I am still at a loss for words as to why Windows 7's beautiful Aero UI couldn't have at least been left implemented as an optional feature in the traditional PC (mouse + keyboard operated) version.I'm not entirely sure that Microsoft Windows 10's development team is fully able to comprehend the *countless* number of Windows 7 users who would GLADLY upgrade to Windows 10 right away if such an important and very convenient feature would have been left in (again, as an optional addon which can be enabled via the 'Turn Windows features on or off' link in Windows Explorer's 'Uninstall or change a program' shortcut).Instead, we are relegated to relying on third party software (some of which costs extra) in order to bring such a fundamental part of the Windows 7 experience back. And even then, we need to mess around with the Registry, and the themes folder, and so forth.Sorry but it's very irritating to know that you guys could have left Aero in. If you are able to get Xbox 360 games emulated/running nearly perfectly on the Xbox One (a minor miracle), you are definitely able to leave in Aero into Windows 10.Obviously there's other features in Windows 10 concerning privacy which many people object to, but at least they can be switched off. Please consider bringing Windows Aero + the extra customization options fully back, thank you. Because as petty as it may seem, until it's back I wouldn't recommend Windows 10 to a friend more so than I would Windows 7 (which is your crown jewel OS in my opinion), sorry :-(
