Rated 5 out of5 by fromLove Windows 10!I upgraded my laptop and bought the operating system when me and my boyfriend made our own computers, and the sleek look of Windows 10 and the ease I had using it has been a beautiful experience!

Rated 4 out of5 by fromThe best OS on the market.Seems like everyone down voting good reviews are Mac OSX fan boys. There's really no other reason to use anything else. Best selection of games, software and fantastic customization options. If you want a great and easy to use OS, then don't hesitate to pick up this OS.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromSwitching to MacI tried windows 10 upgrade and it crashed my laptop so I reformatted and went with Windows 10 and I'm now regretting it. I liked it at first but now my kids get locked out of their accounts and I have to delet them and start over. If I want to watch movies using my dvd drive I have to pay $13 for an app. I can at lest find free apps for my iPad to do things. The more and more I work with it and realize I need a new computer the more I am heading to switching to a Mac. Absolutely disappointed in Windows 10. I have my iPad for a tablet, I didn't need my laptop to turn into a tablet that I can't do things on when I want. Now my laptop is useless because it won't let me go back to Windows 7.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromStill windowsWhere do I even start? Nothing is intuitive, the OS treat you like a someone who doesn't know what he's doing. The real settings are always hidden behind 2 layers of over simplified metro app that won't get you what want. The amount of pre-installed bloatware is unbelievable (get skype, get office, xbox, onedrive, and much more).Even if you're an administrator with UAC disabled, most of the time you'll need permission from your administrator to do what you want. I just spent 10 minutes changing the owner of every file on my main drive and I still don't have acces to some folders.Start menu looks way better, but everything you could do before in 1 or 2 clicks is now an app and menu navigation nightmare. Unless you pin everything you want. Then you'll have to parse a square ocean everytime you look for something. You can't uninstall half the stuff you don't need/want, for instance onedrive. On the plus side, windows installed all the drivers automatically.Explorer now has some features previously hidden in settings directly accessible, for instance "Show hidden files".

Rated 3 out of5 by fromExpensiveWindows 10 is expensive and the sole reason I chose this over a linux distribution is because of DirectX and the larger game library

Rated 5 out of5 by fromSuperb in Every RespectWe have installed Win 10 on four high-end desktops and one large laptop - all upgrades from Win 8 or 7. We have more application software than anyone else we have compared with, some going back to early Win XP days. Compatibility has proved outstanding. Out of our vast installed inventory only two products had to be re-installed which took maybe 5 minutes. In over a year of use no glitches encountered. This OS is robust, intuitive and efficient in use - a pleasure to have. It would be interesting to know the details of situations where reviewers complain of compatibility issues as it is difficult to imagine how this could be.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromI hate Windows 10The reason I am so unhappy with this program is two fold. First of all I feel I was not given an option as far as upgrading to Windows 10. It has slowed my computer substantially, the mouse usage is jerky, my games board is messed up. I lost the APP desktop that filled my screen. Hate that the APPS appears down the side of the screen now. Something tells me there is a difference between the free upgrade and the one you have to pay for. I was happy with Windows 8. This present upgrade appeared by magic and I was given 59 seconds to respond. Not a happy consumer at all here!
