Ratings and reviews

Rated 4 out of5 by fromPretty Good, design could be better.Came as part of my Surface Book. Charges the device well and carries out all functions as designed. Converter block comes with USB port for charging other devices which is an excellent idea. Another excellent idea is that the connector is magnetic rather than using friction to hold it in place.Biggest area of improvement is the connector's shape. You can either have it forward or backward on a horizontal plane to Surface book, this bends the cable awkwardly sometimes and makes me feel like the cable may break after extended use. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong and it'll last a long time.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromPoor qualityI'm on my third in less than three years. This product is useless if you need to carry it around with you (which you do as the power on the Pro3 doesn't last a day) the wires come loose at the Surface pro end of the charger within 6 months (and I'm only carrying it around about 1 day a week) rubbish and expensive. Microsoft you need to take note and improve this product its putting me off buying the Surface Pro 4 and opting for an alternative brand.

Rated 1 out of5 by from3rd Power Supply in 2 yearsThe power supply that came with the surface lasted about 6 months before coming apart at the connection to the surface. I purchase a replacement which then failed after 8 months on the socket. I was able to IEC lead from the first one, and continue using the second power supply for another 8 months, until it began to fail at he connection to the laptop. It's been less than two years, and none of my other laptops have needed replacement power supplies.I am now planning on trying a power supply from an alternative manufacturer.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromPerfectWorks very well and solid feel to it. Useful to have an extra charging port for phones, etc.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromPoor reliabilityHave a 4 and the original one broke as did the next one, same problem with the wire into the bayonet fitting. A bit of real design prototyping would solve this basic fault. Also had to buy on line as no stockists seem to have the product
