Ratings and reviews

Rated 2 out of5 by fromStick with the regular type coverBought this to replace the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover that I use with my Surface Pro 3 so I could get Windows Hello but after trying it for an hour I realised that the fingerprint reader is flaky, inconsistent and of 5 times I tried to unlock my PC it did not work on 3.On one of these cases the device went to sleep and on wake up it wouldn't see the fingerprint reader and therefore not give me the option using it to unlock the device.Going back to my teal Type Cover 4 that not only looks better, works really well for typing and cost less.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromLooks good and feels good. Not bad but..This looks and feels good. I like how the keys illuminates automatically when it senses the amount of light in the room. Pitty it doesn't come in more colors.I dont see the point in the bio metric sensor on a Surface pro 4 because the camera logs me in via Windows Hello very quickly and is so great. In what instance is it useful??I wanted this newer keyboard over the previous non bio metric one though because its been re designed with a better track pad and wider spacing between the keys. The track pad is a little flaky I have found though. Two finger multi touch for moving up and down a page is not smooth and the pinch zoom in and out is not consistent.Maybe a driver update could fix this down the line? For a keyboard this is expensive big time. A keyboard with the surface pro is a very good addition and should be included as standard with every surface pro without adding to the cost though. Its also a big shame there isnt a Bluetooth battery attachment for it so you can use it from afar.. Like on the sofa while the surface is hooked up to a tv.Ive had to buy a separate wireless keyboard with track pad for this purpose. All in all, not bad..

Rated 1 out of5 by frompacked in after two weeks - a bit underwhelmed,As the computer insists on using the camera recognition anyway not sure its worth the huge price tag. Never mind the arduous task of talking to the support personnel at Microsoft to organise a return ... don't think I'll be replacing it.
