Rated 1 out of5 by fromDO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCTI had a really large document that I spent hours typing. I saved it. I trusted auto save. I simply tried to cut and paste some of the words and the document froze then closed. I went back to open it and the document was not there. I tried to find it auto save and the document was not there. I went back into finder and the document was not there. It is gone. I went online to look for instructions about how to find it...guess what it didn't actually help me find it. This is absolutely the worst product on the market. It crashed ALL THE TIME. And I have a brand new computer so its not the computer. Don't trust this product. You will regret it!!!!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromCrashes and freezes constantlyI purchased microsoft office suite when I started grad school because microsoft word and excel are the standard software used in acadamia. Word is jumpy and constantly freezes. I don't know how many times I have had word freeze in the middle of writing and then crash and I lose the content I have been working on. I am constantly saving every 5 or ten minutes now because of this issue. I wish it had an auto save feature like I have seen on older PC releases. It is a nice attempt to create a microsoft product for Mac users, but if you want ease of use and a software that won't continually crash and force you to redo work then stick with pages and export to word doc if you need to or to a pdf. This is my approach and I really only utilize excel from the office suite.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromA new look for the industry standardUpdated from Office 2011 for Mac, and I like the new flatter look and color scheme. The layout has been improved and menus standardized. That said, the suite functions similarly to Office 2011, but loads a bit slower, and I swear the autocorrect on Outlook and Word is not as sharp at learning industry terms that you use every day; incorrect suggestions for corrections can be an real irritation, especially if you don't catch the autocorrect swaps before you publish. Outlook is still our workhorse, and I just wish Outlook would sync calendars and contacts with iCal and even the MS Office programs on the iPhone and iPad. Until Office 2016 for Mac can sync with iDevices as well as the Office on Windows can, it will be an ongoing frustration.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDowngrade from Word 2011I bought Word 2016 hoping that a more recent version of Word for Mac would be an improvement over Word 2011. However, I soon discovered otherwise. The Focus View feature found in Word 2011, which I use all the time, is not available in this single-use license version of Word 2016. Focus View is only available to those who sign up for Office 365, which requires a monthly subscription fee. So if you buy this version you will actually lose functionality from Word 2011. I find this anti-consumer practice simply unacceptable, and have returned my digital download purchase of Word 2016, instead choosing to use one of my spare licenses for Word 2011. instead.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromLots of bugs, instability and missing featuresWanted to upgrade from office 2010 for mac, but have been seriously disappointed by the stability of especially the new Excel. Also features are missing like changing order of data series on a graph in Excel. Tons of bugs including a lagging scroll in Word. Hold off until some dedicated patching of issues has been put into this flawed product.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat I like it!I just loaded this on my MAC and it runs great! I had no problem with download and upload. I converted some of my Pages documents to Word with no issues. In addition, I created a business letter using Word and again no issues.I am so happy I have Word and can use it on my MAC!Oh, by the way, I also have Excel and they both work great!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromhorriblei spent so much time downloading, then the software didn't match and i had to update my os, then after all that, it said it was having problems and i needed to come back at a different time to download. terrible experience. now i'm trying to return it and the system keeps looping me to the same page and i don't know if my request is going through. i'm going to have to dispute it on the credit card now.... more work for me... not a good experience.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromWord for Mac 2016 is a Walking DisasterDon't even think about buying this incredible piece of junk. Nothing works properly. I'm spending all of my time resolving formatting issues, re-doing macros that mysteriously disappear, and trying to figure out (unsuccessfully) why I keep having to grant special permission to open Word documents. This is less than a beta version; it is the "Walking Disaster" version.
