Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMinor upgrade, but still great!I had the original One (see what I did there) and loved it, but only had 500gb, so it was time to upgrade. While this console is a minor upgrade from the previous model, it is still a great deal, and is worth the upgrade for many people. My primary reason for upgrading (besides storage) was the native 4k support for apps (I know, it's not 4k gaming...) but being able to stream in 4k, and watch 4k Blu-Ray's make it worth the price. Especially considering how much an Apple TV/Fire TV + a 4K Blu-Ray player would cost, you would probably be spending close to the same price, and still not have one of the best game systems on the market!

Rated 5 out of5 by fromExcellence in QualityAt first when i opened the box i was like i think i bought a nintendo Wii lol but the new xbox is much smaller and lighter then the day one edition i bought the vertical stand makes it look more like a Wii though but it is much nicer with the white textured grip controller and white console, Having no powerbrick is a nice change of pace and the console has better download speeds then the older gens and i have Zero Regrets buying this new one while still owning a perfectly running 500GB Day One Edition because the hardware and circuits of the Slim are far superior to it.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat upgrade!Great way to breathe some life in to an existing console before the next gen. Very relevant new features, including 4K and HDR for newer TV's - as well as a great feeling new controller, that includes Bluetooth for mobile devices. Also - For anyone wondering about Kinect support - It does, using an adapter. If you already own an XBOX One and Kinect, you can get this adapter for free! More details here: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/kinect-adapter

Rated 5 out of5 by fromLove the new design, and the improved performance.I pre-ordered the console so I would get it on release day. Once it was updated, it was super easy to reload all of my media from the cloud. I love this feature. If the console crashes, you will not lose your data. I did have the Kinect from my previous Xbox One console. I contacted Xbox support, and I was able to order the Kinect free adapter to connect to the new Xbox One S.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromLove the new controllerI can't believe someone actually asked if they could take their Xbox live to the new console. You don't need to be wasting money if that's what you ask.. but it's a great console, nice and small, graphics are nice, don't need the kinect. The only thing we were using it for was for voice commands anyways and now we have cortana.

Rated 5 out of5 by frombest xbox console yetI bought this on the day it was released and was so excited to own it.It's new design is incredible and I am really pleased with what Microsoft has done here. I do not own a 4k uhd t.v yet but I know eventually I will. The controller vibrations are even a little stronger now as well which gives you that real feel.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromLove it including the color!I pre ordered it and did my research so it turned out great. I knew I was in for a wait to get the adapter so I did not mind that much. Only took about 30 minutes to get the order processed so it could be shipped in the door

Rated 5 out of5 by fromOne of the BestI've had the 2TB S since day one and I'm liking it. It's not a vast improvement over the original but it's the little things that make it better. Smaller, more HD space, better controller look/play/feel and it's white which makes me think this is how the original One should have been at release. For games, it may load faster and look a bit better but this unit shines at 4K or 4K UHD. Mostly for movies but even then you better have a large screen TV (maybe more than 50 inches) and sit at a respectable viewing length to see the difference. Color appears to have much more depth in movies and games. Currently this is the best it's going to get and I'm not sure how much better it will be with the Scorpio. It really is going to come down to your own personally setup but having this unit is not a compromise by any means.
