Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromSolid Introduction to Windows 10 MobileAfter owning a couple different Windows Phone 8 models, this Lumia 950 is a fantastic upgrade. The interface is much improved, the camera is great, and everything is nice and quick. Windows Hello shows that it is still in Beta but I have been very impressed by its performance. It unlocks the phone easily and quickly and was impressive when speed testing against my wife's fingerprint reader on her phone. The battery does very well for a full day use; After playing some games and using it all day long I never dropped below 20% at the end of the day. It's been a while since we've had a high-end Windows Phone and this one has me very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromOne of the most underrated products I've seen.It would be a great tragedy if Windows 10 mobile disappeared. The reality is that if it arrived as early as the other platforms, it would be as mainstream as the others are. An honest review of all mobile OS out there would have to put it at the top or close with the exception of subjective opinions about personal preference. This is an exceptional phone and OS and I feel like I got an incredible value when buying this recently compared to other phones. My only worry will be that I am forced to choose something else in the future if win 10 mobile flagships disappear in the consumer market.I am thankful to have this product now and couldn't be much happier.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromI love the new Luma 950I upgraded from a Lumia 1020. I love the speed of the camera, the amazing screen quality and the new Windows 10 Phone operating system. The phone is really fast. It does feel a little too light at first. After realizing the build quality of the phone, I realize this is a light and well-designed device. There are some bugs lingering in Windows 10; however, it is more fluid than ever and still very stable. The facial recognition is cool; however, it takes longer than just typing in my pin. Once this gets faster, it will be cool. Overall, this is a very slick upgrade.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromMy hopes for the ultimate Windows Phone diedThis is the third Windows Phone I have owned and unfortunately the worst. I had a Nokia 7xx series running WP7 and a Lumia 920 running WP8.1 and W10M so I was very excited to move to the Lumia 950. It has been about 6 months and I am overall disappointed with this phone. My older Lumia 920 ran W10M better than the 950 does. I have several issues that persist through update after update. I also had hoped that the infrastructure would catch up but the number and quality of apps still lags greatly. The Lumia 950 does have a great camera... when it doesnt lock up. I hate to say it but this will most likely be my last Windows based phone.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromThe best phoe I had so farLove how smooth Windows 10 OS Mobile react to touch, the screen is sharp and a fair battery life, unless you spend too much time in the Facebook App. I expected a better battery life but it is good enough so far.The phone get too warm at times, when using apps that uses too much cpu. But it recovers well, without the need of and app to kill all running background tasks as I need in my Samsung Android Tablet.Windows OS has always impressed me how it manage storage and content data, which it seems like the storage is bigger than what it is, contrary to Android which always I have to clean cache and delete apps and the storage does not get better. Now, what do impress me the most is how fast it charge. Truly impressive... 30 minutes give you 50% as promised in the reveal presentation.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromExchanging 2nd Lumia 950 due to hardware bugsBought new Lumia 950 on 11/27 at AT&T store, exchanged on 11/28 due to touch screen not consistently working (mostly on flat surfaces). 12/1 the speaker went out - Went to AT&T - needed to do a factory reset to get it to work again. However, it stopped working again 1 hr later. At home found that if I loosen the back cover the speaker works - must be a short in the speaker somehow... Taking it back today, will give it one more try. Not sure what I'll do if the 3rd Lumia 950 has problems. I really want to stick with Windows phones as I have been a fan for years. Really disappointed at this point with the hardware. When the phone was working, I was happy with it.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromExcellent introduction to Windows 10 Mobile!I switched from an HTC One M8 to the 950 and I absolutely love everything about it. Battery life is just about as good as my M8 (which has stellar battery life), camera is probably the best I've seen on a mobile device. My girlfriend has an LG V10, which is one of the best Android camera's, and my 950 consistently produces better shots. Windows Hello is the most standout feature to me, it works flawlessly for me and I love showing it off to friends! The performance of the soc is equal to other devices with the 808, the V10 included. Overall, a very formidable competitor to all the other phones on the market. If you are like me and don't really use a bunch of apps, I found Windows 10 Mobile to be a very acceptable OS. I was getting tired of Android and this is a really nice change. I would definitely recommend this device to most people.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromLove my 950I have been an Android user for about 10 years. My last two phones were the Galaxy 4s and Moto X 2nd Generation. I am currently updating all of my computers to windows 10, so I thought it would be a good idea to switch over to a windows 10 phone. I've had the phone going on three days now and I love it. I started out questioning my decision, but it is like some of the previous reviews, you have to fine tune it to work exactly like you want it, and you can, which is one of the features I love about windows and android phones. I love Continuum, if you like to connect your phone to any TV anywhere or any computer anywhere and use it as your personal computer then definitely get the Dock. I also love the way I can organize the Tiles on the home screen and they look beautiful. Finding cases has been a challenge.
