Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromThings to note. It's a great computer when you know what to do when things fail. First off out of the box it will seem like the touchscreen is malfunctioning or not working at all. What I had to do was manually download/update the drivers on dells support website. Download the hardware drivers and the drivers that control the touchscreen. I notice that I have to do this everytime I get a windows 10 update, I don't mind doing so. It works fine everytime I update the driver's. Hope this helps.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromdell has very poor customer supportThis machine broke within 60 days with an issue in the touch screen called ghost touch. Tech support tries to wear me down with countless hours of software fixes-they did finally agree to take it back but now are unable to repair. They are not being specific on how they will make this right. My advice is do not buy dell through the Microsoft store. It's far too complicated to get help.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromYou've got to be kidding mePurchased this laptop for its great price point, and versatile configuration. First one I purchased had the touch screen stop working 8 days after purchase, so I returned it for a brand new one whose touch screen did not work fresh out of the box. STRONGLY suggest not purchasing this laptop, as this touch screen issue is a fundamental hardware flaw and they should be totally recalled until they figure it out. Feel bad for anyone buying this and having that flaw show up 31 from purchase, when return is no longer an option

Rated 4 out of5 by fromIts decentJust got mine in. its sturdy for a 2 in 1. I dont have any problems with it. its like any other Microsoft program. the fan is very quiet, you can hardly hear it. the keyboard is lite up, the keys are easy to use. The only thing I can say i dislike is the mouse square, moving the mouse around is fine, its the left and right key buttons connected to it. sometimes when i want to hold it or highlight an item by holding the left, it will click it and not hold it to highlight, same for the right key. Also when wanting to click on something and you hover the pointer over the item, and go to click the left side, it will sometimes end up moving the mouse instead of clicking the actual thing. Hope that makes sense. But that is the only flaw i see, so i will be getting a separate mouse to not have this problem. Recommending this product is ify just because of the mouse control.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromPerfectly AdequateGreat for a college student. It's portable, light weight, has a touch screen, adequate battery life (6 hours), loud speakers, and an amazing keyboard. It's smooth, fast, and the track pad works well too. Very happy with this purchase. The only con for me is that you have to manually update its graphics driver and that the backspace key has an awkward placement. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromGood size, good features for priceSo far I'm liking it. It's not tiny, but not huge either. I think it's going to travel well. One major plus: NO bloatware! Ah yeah! Just plain Windows. No extra junk (except for the junk that Windows itself adds which is a whole other story...)The screen is a bit hard to open, but the touchscreen is great and responsive. Touchpad is nice and smooth and responsive as well. Seems like the overall build quality is fairly high.It actually has dedicated volume buttons!!!!! I'm excited about that. Although they are right next to the power button on the side, which means sending your laptop to sleep by accident is common (unless you disable the power button's sleep function).3 USBs are nice, and having at least one on each side is a huge plus.Windows 10 as a touch interface is still quite problematic, so using this as a tablet is not going to happen as much as I'd like, but at least I have the option of how to use it. Opening it and having the keyboard on the bottom is weird when you're holding it, but I'll get used to it. I do worry about the keys though, getting them caught on things or dirty. Also a thing of note, if you've got polarized lenses and you turn the screen sideways, it will disappear. Polarized glasses sometimes don't play well with some screens, and this is one of those screens. It works fine in landscape mode, the screen just looks blank if you turn it portrait. Also with the fairly high resolution of the screen, and the zoom setting (150%) that this defaults to, this doesn't play well with old programs. Fonts and some other things come out very blurry on old programs. Also when I plugged this into my 24" dell monitor, it was a bit of a challenge to get thing set up right there. The i3 is a bit slow, but I figure for $200 less than the next step up, it will do what I need it for.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromGood design. Touchscreen failed. My son and I noticed this product at a Microsoft Store at the mall. I ordered one online for him thanks to the decent price and the student discount. The product is a great all around 2-in-1 design and Windows 10 works great. The problem is the touchscreen failed to work after the first day of use. Dell technical support tried but failed to get it working. Bad quality control on Dell's part. The Online Microsoft Store has been outstanding to deal with, processing the return.
