Ratings and reviews

Rated 1 out of5 by fromWorst computer I've even ownedI have owned this computer for 13 months now and it is the worst computer I've ever owned. It won't run for more than 90 minutes without crashing. Dell replaced the motherboard, and it still crashes. I've replaced the hard drive. Still crashes. I've wiped the drive and done a clean install of Windows 10. Still crashes. I've tried replacing the RAM. Still crashes. I've updated all drivers. Still crashes. I've tried updating drivers with versions downloaded from Dell. Still crashes. I've updated drivers with versions from Windows Update. Still crashes. I've rolled back to original drivers. Still crashes. Please. Do not buy this PC. It is absolutely terrible.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromi7 laptop chipset in Inspiron 24-7459 is "fast"Really fast system using a i7 -6700HQ four core chipset in a desktop unit, I can see why they used it too. Less power = less heat in a small unit. The signature Edition is worth buying. I am a life time buyer of the Signature Editions for now on. Read there was a issue with the Inspiron 24-7459 locking up in sleep mode. It did happen once to me. Decided to turn of the sleep mode in settings for the Hard drive and Monitor. Problem fix. Hope dells fixes this issue with a Bio update or something. It happened after the computer was left on over night. Wondering if it has to do something with the hybrid hard drive. Which my system came with a Toshiba MQ01ABD100. Over all a beautiful screen and clean system to use. The keyboard reminds me of a i Mac keyboard. Very nice and clean buttons to touch. The mouse is ok. Nothing special. Hope this helps.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromKeeps crashing, dell keeps saying it is microsoft.I bought it in august, it keeps crashing since win10 anniversary update, even the latest driver from last week (6 month after). No working answer from internet despite reinstalling everything... a disaster... too bad it could be nice machine otherwise. The plugs for the usb are unpractical, they should have been on the screen. The sound is poor missing low frequencies. The keyboard is small, miss some keys but the response is good. The mouse is a basic one, it is too bad, that this cannot be changed upon command. It is claim to be up to 3.*Ghz, but the bios keep to 2.6Ghz. The screen is a bit low and shiny (watch out light reflection). Overall dell support is pretty bad.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDo not purchase this under any circumstancesI bought this computer via the Microsoft store in September, and am very sorry I didn't pay more attention to reviews. This model appears to have a defect that causes it to turn off with an orange power light error randomly, and only physically unplugging it lets the computer reset. Both the Microsoft store and Dell support were entirely unhelpful in debugging, despite reinstalling Windows, running diagnostics, updating drivers, etc. After almost 4 months of repeated efforts, I am giving up on this machine and will trash it. Neither Dell nor Microsoft acknowledge this machine has a defect (just read other reviews here), but just place me in an endless cycle of useless support calls. (Dell in particular is has the worst possible customer service in this regard). Learn from my experience: DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDON'T BUY DELL!Since my purchase 4/16, I have sent it back TWICE to Dell, with no remedy. As I type this, I'm on the phone with Dell again and they want me to send it back a THIRD time. I'm so disappointed in this purchase and with the tech/customer service of Dell. My warning to you is to DON'T BUY DELL. If anything is wrong with the computer, you will be SORRY. I wish I had this warning before purchasing.
