Ratings and reviews

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNo Built-in kick Stand and screen NOT tiltableThe UHD computer screen is bright and looks great. It would have been a 5 star if the tablet has its own kick-stand. And, the tablet when in laptop mode has only ONE viewing angle, in other words that the laptop screen is not tilt-able. Dell has made many great computers, they could have learned from the success of the Surface Pro 4 design. But the current design is an epic ergonomics failure.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromAverageBattery Life does not last more than 3hrs, if you using more than 2-3 app at one time its shorter. We bought primarily to do intakes and notes during sessions.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromA Good MachineI received the Dell xps 12 9250 (4k) for Christmas and I love it. It handles Office well and I've been able to edit and convert media files up to 1080p, I haven't tried it on 4k videos. I've also been able to watch 4k videos on YouTube without any problems; I've been using the edge browser. I've heard that people have had problems viewing 4k videos when using the Chrome browser. I don't know if that's been fixed yet in Windows 10; it is a windows issue and not a machine issue. The track pad feels good and is very responsive and the key board that comes with the tablet is very nice. The small battery is the worst part of this 2 in 1. It is to small and should have been bigger. However, I can get 5 to 5 1/2 hours from the battery by using the power saver in windows and setting my resolution to 720p and brightness to 50%. This is with average use; web browsing, Office use, watching videos on line, etc. It is definitely the UHD screen that chews through the battery. So, the battery is just okay and not good. If you buy a portable battery supply it'll extend the tablet's battery without having to plug it into a wall socket. I've heard quite a few people who own this machine have done that and I plan to do that too in the future. One huge plus for me is the ability to open up the tablet and work on it. That's pretty rare among tablets. Dell even provides a manual in pdf form on how to open up the tablet and fix or change out parts. I changed my 256 GB drive for a 1TB drive and it was easy. I would love to find a larger battery that would work and switch them out, but I haven't found one yet and I haven't been all that hard either.Make sure all of your drivers are up to date as Dell is putting out updated drivers and you're good to go.
