Overview

Picture perfect

With its stunning Quad HD+ display, the Dell XPS 13 eclipses the view of all other 13-inch laptops. It features the world's first infinity display, a virtually borderless 13-inch screen placed into the body of an 11-inch laptop. Compared to the Apple MacBook Air 13, the XPS 13 is 23% smaller with the same size screen. And with Windows 10, you get easy ways to snap apps in place, create new desktops, and work and play across all your devices.

Crystal-clear display

The XPS 13 delivers an incredible 5.7 million pixels on its UltraSharp QHD+ display—that's 4.4 million more pixels than HD+ and 2.5 times that of Full HD. What you get is a view that's always precise, clear, and eye-poppingly lifelike. Movies jump off the screen. Presentations shine. And photos and videos can be edited with pinpoint precision.

Solid as a rock

Premium craftsmanship and design make this laptop a real head-turner. Its all-aluminum body is strong, durable, and stylish, while its carbon-fiber base is tough and thin like aluminum but cooler to the touch. And with a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT display, you get enhanced scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility, and better retained strength once a scratch occurs.

Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromVery good laptop, best I've ever owned!I love this laptop for these reasons:- Touch-Screen is amazing, QHD Display is so detailed.- Lighting Fast, boots from cold, 6 seconds flat!- Amazing build quality! Seriously!- Never ever ever had BSOD, and never crashed, ever!- Sound quality is not too bad- Crazy light, something like 1.3KG- Never get's too hot, and had a long life battery (11 hours)- I have the 16GB RAM version with PCIe 512GB SSD.Issues with laptop are:- Screen flicker pre-update, now it's gone!- Not too good when playing 3D games, but okay for basic game play- Sometimes you hear a coil sound from the unit when in silence. Most ultrabooks have this.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMost Definetly the Best UltrabookBefore purchasing this computer I read all of the reviews on this site. There are a few negative reviews here, however, those negative reviews are from Noobs (novice computer users) who do not know how to use a PC. Initially yes, there were some out of the box issues. However, after installing all of the new drivers/updates this computer works great. I have not had any problems at all. The screen is beautiful, the processor is excellent, the SSD boots fast, and its portability is awesome. I highly recommend this computer to anyone, it really does blow the competition out of the water.Specs for computer just reviewed:Dell XPS 13 Non-Touch128GB SSD8GB Rami5 6th Generation Skylake Processor

Rated 1 out of5 by fromWill be returning this immediatelyPoor experience. Frustrating night lost trying to solve multiple issues. How could a "flagship" model go out so badly? By reading other reviews and forums, i see i am not the only one.1) The screen alternates between white shaky horizontal lines and completely black flickering on the screen.2) The internet would turn off out of no where.3) Buttons would stop working (requiring a restart). Spent the entire first night frustrated, updating drivers in hopes it would help. Im not sure anything helped. You should not have to spend energy coaxing your computer to work. it should be great out of the box. Worst 1st day experience ive ever had with a laptop from any manufacturer.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDell Continues to DisappointHaving been adverse to Dell products for over 10 years, I recently gave in due to the glowing review of the XPS13. With so many accolades, I felt that it was worth putting aside any bias and going for what has been hailed as the top laptop in its class.Upon initial setup, the first error message was displayed: "Hard Drive not Installed".Searching online, it appears as though this is not an uncommon problem. The product is being returned and I will revert to my former belief that Dell products are not worth the cost - and the associated aggravation.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromdON'T eXPECT lONG lIFEStill under warranty, I contacted dell for a myriad of issues...long story short, dell said I needed to do a complete recovery on my laptop...WHAT ? They said either that, or go through software support to have them do extensive troubleshooting, and he made it sound like that would be a very lengthy process. I have no cd and have backed up only very important stuff, but I did not want to lose everything and have to go through the hassel of reinstalling everything. What a crock...I just decided never to buy a dell again and deal with my problems on my own.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromExcellent Build Quality, Good PerformanceI have now used this laptop for three weeks. It has served me very well. I especially like the long battery life. It lasts around 9-10 hours doing productivity work and web browsing. When I ran a more intensive program it lasted 7-8 hours. The power in this laptop is outstanding for the size. While it's not a gaming laptop, it is still able to fully compile a large Android program in 3-4 seconds. I highly reccommend this laptop to coders or students majoring in Computer Science.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromOverall it is very good laptop, but has issuesIt is a excellent laptop except two issues I had during three days use. First wifi had no connection after re-start computer. The Dell wifi adapter is absence in Device manage. You have to shut down the laptop and then power it on again. The second, you can not wake up laptop with USB keyboard and mouse after put it in sleep mode. Tried many effects to fix the problem, so far no success. They may caused by software or hardware issues. Need Dell or Microsoft to fix these

Rated 3 out of5 by fromGreat Computer - Only short life batteryI have this computer for three months and enjoy very much of the computer with the super HD screen and performance. It is very light with a very nice well make case. Only negative is the battery last only about 3 hours with full charge. This is a very disappointment. The computer spec indicated it last up to 11 hours of battery operation. It is not true for the XPS 13 that I got.
