Ratings and reviews

Rated 3 out of5 by fromNot at all worth the hype, or the subscription.Stick to the single player Elder Scrolls rpgs, this MMO is like so many other MMO's out there, that you could play for free(cash shop), or an mmo w/out a subscription.A group of friends and myself tried to play ESO together, but found that most activities until you're doing dungeon raids, are not friendly to the idea of grouping or playing with friends(IN AN MMO...). We constantly dealt with phasing problems, or had to jump through hoops just to play in the same shard/server. Needless to say, we all quit. It just wasn't worth it.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat game, tons of contentTES has been crying out for an MMO for years and when people heard the MMO was coming, they were very excited. However, between the overly high expectations and the rough launch, the game got a lot of criticism.I was disappointed to hear this and stayed away... at first. I got the game when it went free to play (it was subscription based at launch, which added to the furor) and I saw a huge improvements. This game is massive and caters the impulse for good ol' Elder Scrolls exploration.Making the MMO of a franchise like this was a big undertaking and had to be handled with care. The game does TES justice and I can safely say that there are no 'bad' TES games, even the esoteric MMO.
