Ratings and reviews

Rated 4 out of5 by fromAlright For Commonplace TasksI got this during the Black Friday sale and, for the discount, it was a great deal. However, for the retail price, consider other options. Definitely some better things out there for the money. It tackles simple tasks excellently. I have used it for school activities and it ran multiple tasks excellently. The display is pretty good but my product prior to arrival was exposed to pressure or a fall or something and the screen has some spots around the edges. I'm alright with it but there seems to be a general trend of faults with this product.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromFaulty product and even worse customer serviceThis review is not for Microsoft store. I got the laptop within 3 days of the order.Since beginning I struggled to connect to wifi. It would connect only when laptop is within 2 feet from router. Called HP support and their conclusion, "Nothing wrong with laptop. Laptop's wireless adapter is too advanced for your router. You need to pay to further troubleshoot this issue". I have standard Xfinity router and many other PCs, Mac, tablets, phones are using the same router without any issues. Faulty product and even worse customer service from HP. Returning this tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromHP 360It great, initially I was disappointed With brand new 2 new laptops I bought and had a lot of problems. I discover that, you have to set this new laptop off line, do not connect it to internet, set it manually off line. Because microsoft set all these laptops company/work group And share everything,Afterwards switching on the setting, I can see the name I gave to my PC is not there, it showing desk share number, I changed it, I change the environment, system protection is switch off and restore poit is off, I went to services, everything there was nearly set to manual, including window update, I changed it.I then connected to internet and did all the update.this the best laptop I have now. If you don't do it manually, the laptop will set it self to unknown administrators in work group controing your PC. That is the tip.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromBad.I got this laptop from the store, and keyboard was not working well. So, I switched to same laptop and second one was terrible. One of key was not working well and fan noise was like motorcycle. Also, computer slow down even I didnt touch or install anything. It was a brand new. I got defective products 2 times in a roll. So I just returned it, and scared to get laptop right now. However, I wanna give 5 stars for staffs in microsoft store. Not for this laptop.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromHP 2 in 1Somewhat disappointed. After 1 1/2 weeks, I had to force close the laptop as it froze. It wasn't booting up right so I force closed it again. When I finally got it to come it, it ended doing some type of recovery factory reset. I returned it for another as I didn't want a lemon. It states it has up to 8 hours of battery, but when fully charge on both laptops it was only 5 hours so that is misleading. I'm primarily using it as a tablet and haven't used the keyboard much so hopefully that is ok when I do need to use it. Good sale price and a 15" screen. Used as a tablet it works great as the screen resolution is nice.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromCrashed in first few days.Bought this during Black Friday sale and it seemed like a good price for the product. After Windows 10 updated itself, the physical keyboard would work only about 50% of the times after startup. Seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it. I contacted HP support via chat and after 30 minutes and no help I closed the chat and searched online for a solution to the problem which seemed to be software related. After performing a couple of steps, the final suggested step was to reset the PC. This was unsuccessful and the system crashed. The PC would power up but Windows would not load. Finally, I had to create Windows recovery media on another PC onto a USB flash drive and load Windows 10 onto this device using the USB drive. Obviously, this should not have happened on a brand new PC.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromStatic noice...Got it on black Friday sale. Speakers making some static noise. It's so irritating. Dropping connection to my AC router. Also screen mirroring pauses frequently from a 10 ft distance, even when network speed is 150/20 mbps. Returning right now to MS store. Speed is also slow for 7th Gen i5.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWorks as expectedI have had this laptop for a week. Upon purchase I let it update itself. It took a while to download all the windows updates, including the anniversary. So far it is working well as I expected. The processor and RAM give me what I need for data analysis and writing reports. I have watched some movies and it works well for that as well. It is lighter than I expected for a 15.6 inch. I don't see much use of it in tablet mode as it is a bit awkward to hold it being big, but I've put it in tent mode over the bed to avoid heating.I'm giving it four stars because I'd have preferred it to come with SSD, and it does take a couple of minutes to get started. I'm planning to upgrade it in the near future.
