Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromBetter than most amateur builds, not > Pro builtI wanted a compact, powerful all in one and that is what i got. This baby can run almost the entire adobe suite at the same time or mixed with games like Overwatch/KF2 are running smoothly. It is incredibly fast, simple, and powerful. My brother built his computer with 8 cores and 3.6 GHz and at the time the newest Geforce graphics card. Mine runs circles around his build even with this Lenovo being 3.4 GHZ, the build is reliable and it doesn't overlook some key components that some builders tend to miss like the internet/Ethernet capabilities or solid state drive space. I have compared it to friends and other family member's built computers and the idea centre stomps them. That being said I know there are better computers out there. If you are like me and want to get everything nice and neat in a package with no hiccups go with this comp. Some minor cons to be noted. The display is not touch screen capableI know it is possible but I haven't yet figured out how to put more monitors with it. (not that i really need to, 27" feels large). The intel Game package didn't come with any appealing games ( my subjective opinion)The default Keyboard and mouse are not the ones shown in the images above. They are the standard lenovo basic mouse and keyboard. Lenovo assumes you will get a custom setup anyways or just buy the ones shown above from them.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromNice displayVery large, nice display (and Heavy!). I haven't come across anything yet that really shows the 1070 card in action though. Seems average fast, perception wise. I had hoped for something that felt snappier (versus my i5 Surface Pro). I immediately swapped out the wired keyboard/mouse for wireless ones. So far so good. Biggest issue is something non-upgradeable: the network card. One of the sell points for me was the advertised network capabilities but so far they have not emerged. If I even try the dual Ethernet/wireless combo mode, the connection fails constantly. I had to reset to factory settings and connect via Ethernet only to get any sort of speed. (I have top of the line modem & router). I have a couple more weeks to play with it and see if I can get it functioning correctly. If not, 30 day return policy is good for this very reason. :)

Rated 5 out of5 by fromWorkhorse aIl in on and upgradable tooSome clever design and top level components mark the work horse all in one PC that is the Lenovo IdeaCenter Y910. All in ones tend to be stylish or utilitarian, but Lenovo has come up with something in the middle. The Y910 is not svelte, yet the face it presents has an industrial chic esthetic mixed with splashes of orange which mark it as something more than a business machine. I want to use it for gaming, but I also want it to look like a serious machine that will do work related stuff in Office as well as photo and video editing. Lenovo has managed to thread this needle of a professional, but not staid, look with components that will handle just about anything (including VR) you throw at it.Thus far the Lenovo has performed flawlessly. The Y910 sits on a three-point base with the “works” of the PC stashed behind the 27-inch quad HD non-touch screen. There is no touch screen option. The weight of the screen and components are balanced on the heavy base and pedestal because the pedestal cleverly contains the power supply. Unusually for an all-in-one, but consistent with its game-oriented inspiration, several components of the PC can be easily reached and upgraded. This includes the GPU, the hard drives and the memory. Removable panels on the back of the PC provide access to these components. My unit came with the nVidia GeForce 1070 GPU, a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD and 16GB of DDR4 memory. This GPU is currently near the top of the line, but I could replace both drives for additional storage space and double the amount of memory if desired. Allowing for this type of upgradability naturally consumes space. This is part of the reason the Y910 is not svelte. You don’t generally see the back side of the PC you are working on, so the thickness required by providing easy user access to components is not an issue. And Lenovo did a nice job of making it look good anyway. The removable panels comprise part of the cooling system on the device and are held in place with an easily manipulated connector. The back side is marked with sharp angles which match the contours seen on the front. An Intel Real Sense camera makes up the built-in webcam. This unit works flawlessly with Windows Hello for rapid biometric sign-ins. Privacy concerns are addressed in a mechanical manner as the webcam can be pushed down for storage behind the screen.Another key differentiator of the Y910 from many all in ones is the presence of an HDMI In port among the collection of connectors along the bottom back side and the right edge of the PC. This port and its accompanying selector button (which is on the left edge) allows you to use the PC as a monitor for game consoles or other HDMI devices. Mine is connected to my Xbox One S. Plugging a cord into the HDMI In port automatically switches the PC to monitor mode. If you want to leave a cord plugged in, you can use the button to switch inputs, but make sure the auxiliary device is already turned on when you do so.The Y910 runs on a Skylake generation quad core Intel Core i7 6700 CPU at 3.2Ghz. This is a fast CPU and a desktop model that draws a full 65 watts. Many all in one devices uses laptop model CPUs. As mentioned the high end nVidia GeForce 1070 is the current generation of GPUs and includes a full 8GB of fast video RAM. Some AIOs sport laptop grade GPU’s for demanding needs but rely on Intel integrated graphics for most uses. The Y910 does not follow this model. The nVidia GPU is always in use.The Lenovo Ideacenter Y910 All in One has high end components, a quality build, and easy upgradability. A wired full size keyboard and a wired mouse are included. They are rather unremarkable. I connected a Microsoft Surface keyboard and an ergonomic mouse to the PC via Bluetooth without an issue.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromSuper Solid DesktopQuite impressive for an all in one. The only thing i had a problem with was finding the brightness control which ended up being in the designated graphics card's program; not a button on the out side of thr monitor like most systems. The only complaint i have is that for this price, it could have been touch screen.
