Ratings and reviews

Rated 1 out of5 by fromAdroid pairing problemsI'm giving it a 1 only because there seems to be a problem with this keyboard and androids. I have a samsun galaxy tab and a Samsung Galaxy note and while I can get the keyboard to pair with my devices everytime I want to use the keyboard I have to pair it as if it were the first time. It gets old fast. However everything else is perfect. The quality is fantastic, the tactile components (the keys and body) are pleasing. It's solid as well. It also works with my tech smoothly and without issue or jumpiness. Microsoft did something right in the aesthtetic appeal, if they solve this whole pairing issue the keyboard would be perfect.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromI Use it all the time!I use it for blogging with an iPhone 6. I write book reviews and with my work/life schedule, I rarely have time to get to my computer to hammer them out. This keyboard just works. It's crazy light, I open it, and three seconds later the iPhone keyboard disappears and off I go. It even makes a satisfying tick sound when it shuts! If you need to take occasional meeting notes, write in a coffee shop and need a portable solution that doesn't add bulk or weight, this is it.Just wish they made a cute case for it. I want to keep it clean and shiny!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromGreat concept. Horrible for Android 5 usersI bought this keyboard and on the whole love the design and the auto off function. However when I upgraded my phone to android 5, that's where the Bluetooth connection becomes a problem. It forgets the connection after powering off. You have to delete the profile from your phone or tablet and reconnect the keyboard each and every time you want to use the keyboard. It works fine with surface pro and Android 4. So if you have an android phone with the latest update, don't buy this keyboard till Microsoft fixes the issue. As you can see from the reviews, it's been a few months but still no update. So don't hold your breath for an update.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromWonderful concept, needs major workI have been waiting for this keyboard since February. Imagine my surprise/initial disbelief when the keyboard didn't function properly. I have a samsung galaxy tab A (tablet) and samsung galaxy 5 (Phone) and it does not seem to be completely compatible with either of the devies. When I initially pair the device, it works well, but if I try to either A)switch between my phone or tablet or B) close the keyboard and reopen it, the keyboard will not be marked as an input device and cease to function. The only way I can get it to work is if I unpair the device from either of my tablet or phone and repair them again, but that is not how the keyboard is supposed to function. I have return the device, but look forward to having this issue solved so I can repurchase the device and utilize it like I am supposed to. Thank you!

Rated 3 out of5 by fromGood concept but not 100%I'm NOT a big fan of the reduced sized tablet keyboards of a tablet case/keyboard that normally are very bulky, and was looking for a full keybord solution thath was portable enough to throw into a laptop bag with an Apple iPad, so I thought I'd try this one out. After a couple of weeks of on and off use, I find it hard to get used to the split in the keyboard. if you are switching between a laptop and this keyboard, it is a challenge. On occasion I need to access the on screen keyboard to access functions that are not available from the MS keyboard and this cannot be done quickly with out switching off the keyboard. Other BT keyboards have a toggle to bring up the screen keyboard. IF SOMEONE HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO SO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW...After 10-15 miuntes of use, typing becomes comfortable and the fact that it takes up absolutely no space is fantastic. If you are going to use this keyboard with a lot of regularity and normally do not use special functions or characters that can only be accessed through the on screen keyboard, I would not be surprised to see this rated at 5 STARS, however because of the issues I mention, I can only give this a 3 star rating.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromNot so Great Bluetooth connectionI bought this keyboard for my Galaxy Note 4. I am able to connected them, but when the mobile phone powers off automatically, I can't pair them when the mobile phone is powered up again. I have to unpair the keyboard from the mobile phone and do a set up all over again. It is a hassle and need a fix soon. Note, other Bluetooth keyboards work well with this mobile, but not this keyboard.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromTwo big problems on AndroidI can get my Samsung S6 to pair with the keyboard and after turning off swype it worked well with all apps I had including the Microsoft Excel app. However it would NOT work with the Microsoft Word app. It jut didn't accept the text. Incredible. It worked with Polaris office just fine. The second problem is one that seems common per the Internet. When you close the keyboard if can not re-connect. No matter what you have to unpair and pair it back to the phone. I don't have this issue with other bluetooth devices (my watch, car, Tile). So why does this happen with the keyboard? This is sad because the keyboard itself is made well and it feels nice for a small keyboard. If they fixed these two problems I would give it 4 stars easily.,
