Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGood ValueThis inexpensive tablet has exceeded my expectations. I have been using it to read Kindle books and to go on the internet for about two weeks without any issues. The tablet had just enough hard drive space available to install the Windows 10 Anniversary update. The updates took a while but it made it. The battery life has been about 3 hrs. (sometimes less). The touch screen works good and the resolution is acceptable. I bought the tablet online when it was on sale for Christmas. I was surprised by the quality of the packaging and of the tablet itself. It's not the buggy, fall apart tablet I thought it could be. I am more than satisfied.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromSurprisingly good low budget tabletWas able to pick up some of these for Christmas gifts, I tested each momentarily to ensure that they each worked. All of them worked well, they are not blazing fast and they do not download quickly from the Microsoft app marketplace. The cameras are what you would expect from a tablet of this type. The speakers are weak, but you can use headphones. Otherwise, the tablet is on par with most midrange Android tablets. I cannot speak to reliability, but the build quality is decent. The screen is excellent. So overall, and based on limited use, I must say the tablet is overall a 4.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromPerfect Homework MachineInexpensive yet full featured for the High School student that doesn't want to lug a laptop around. Need a full version of Windows 10? Got it! Need to run a full version of Office? This can do it! REAL LIFE USE: Don't expect to game on it. Don't expect to mega multitask on it. It has an Atom processor, it is a tablet, it is inexpensive.... Do yourself a favor - get a 64Gb micro SD card, a portable folding keyboard, a touch stylist, and consider a Bluetooth mouse. I bought 3, one for each of my HS students. They use it to do online homework, hotspot connected while they wait to be picked up after school. It works great!!

Rated 4 out of5 by fromSatisfiedI bought this table on sale during the 12 days of Christmas which was great opportunity to find out how Windows 10 tablets work. It arrived on schedule and appropriately packaged. The tablet build is good with a metal (aluminum) case. The display is looks very good, but the touch screen has been unresponsive at times (reboot "fixes" the issue). The system charges fast and the HDMI out worked with my TV. The system has been updated several times, but then one of the reasons I was interested in a Windows 10 system was hope that it would continue to be updated unlike my Android 4.X forever devices.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromGood little tablet for the discounted price I paidFirst let me say I bought this at a great price. It works great and I was able to update it to the Win 10 Anniversary version without issue. It will handle all the software of a regular PC, graphics are good, speed is good, but it's small. LOVE the fact that it wasn't loaded with bloatware. And much of the stuff on there I won't use I can still uninstall. I installed a high quality/fast 64 GB SD card and there are options to automatically move things there to include pictures, videos, songs, and all apps will be installed there. That was a great surprise.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromGood for the price, but...I just received this in the mail, and I excitedly booted it up. It is still doing updates. It's been 16 hours since it started. Here are some tips for people who may get frustrated.1. When you first turn it on, allow all the Microsoft Store apps to update first. Don't trigger the Windows Updates yet (this comes with an older version of W10 and needs to be brought up to speed).2. Make sure the tablet is connected to a good WIFI!!3. After the stores apps are done updating, go into settings, and go to power settings. You don't want this thing to go into sleep mode when its plugged in. It takes longer to update while you are waiting.4. Plug in the tablet and go to settings, then windows update, and press on the "check for updates" button.5. Be patient. It only has 2gb of RAM so it's going to take forever to update. Check on it every once in a while. Don't get angry. It's not meant to be the most amazing high-powered device on the planet. It's a cheap tablet that's best used for taking notes at school, checking emails, doing pixel art, playing small games (like candy crush), browsing the web, and watching movies.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWell Worth the Christmas-time Deal PricePros: Crisp display. Good touch response. Lightweight. Speedy for it's class.Cons: Requires an extreme amount of hours to update, fresh out of the box. No full size USB port. Limited to 64GB MicroSD expansion.I've enjoyed reading my comic collection on this bright and crisp Full HD screen as well as playing Hearthstone on this fifty-nine smacker tablet (12 Days of Deals sale).I tried using a 128GB UHS-I MicroSD card and it failed miserably so I replaced it with the system spec size of 64GB which works great. It seems to me that coming directly from MS, the machine should be fully updated prior to leaving the warehouse. So, after being away from the Windows world for 10 years... nothing has really changed. I spent 17 1/2 hours in 4 rounds of updates before this tablet could be used properly. Actually, that 17 1/2 hours was after I'd given up on the first attempt (12 hours) and reset the machine. Be sure to follow the update suggestions from the review by 'sully9088'. If you don't, expect massive problems with MS Store errors.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromUnbelievableI saw the specs for this tablet and said to myself; "if it is what they say it is then this is a real dream machine." I took the chance from the Microsoft Store and ordered this machine sight unseen. It arrived a few days later.Well folks, it is what they say it is. Imagine a full version of Windows 10, 64 bit, just like the big boys but smaller. The construction is very good. Everything worked out of the box. The screen is bright and responsive. The weight is incredibly light. The packaging is more than I expected. It was beautiful and well designed.Remember this is a tablet and because of that it has limits. The screen is 8 inches, It runs on a battery. The processor is hefty for the demands but overall the machine is not a speed demon. Expect to wait a few seconds when loading a web page.I have not tried the HDMI but will and let you know in an update.
