FAQ

How do I renew my Office 365 Home or Personal subscription?

First, check your auto renew setting by signing in to www.office.com/myaccount. Look under "Payment and Billing" to see if automatic renewal is set to "On." If automatic renewal is set to "On," your subscription will renew automatically. If automatic renewal is set to "Off," go here and select the Office 365 version you want to renew.

Important note: Make sure that you use the same Microsoft account that you used when setting up your original subscription. Any time you have remaining will be automatically added to your existing subscription. If you use a different Microsoft account, you will be creating a new subscription.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromA way to use Office for short amounts of timeUnlike most software licenses (such as from Adobe), my Office license I use on my desktop cannot be used on a second personal machine, such my laptop used for travel. For an extended trip I can now buy this Office360 license for a month or two while travelling and discontinue when I get home. Not as good as using my primary license on my two machines, but it is the cheapest alternative. The tools are top notch...little compares to the features in Excel. Installing is clunkier than I would have expected...after paying through the Buy and Download button there was no option to download - but maybe that's just a snub for using Chrome instead of IE, LOL.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromVery dissatisfiedAfter a hard disk crash I was unable to re-install my copy of Outlook Professional and was forced to subscribe to and install Microsoft - Office 365 Personal.I was unable to retrieve any of my Address Books, Mail configurations, or any of my old Outlook configurations, necessitating an inordinate amount of time to setup the new application. After installation additional inordinately excessive amounts of time were necessary to configure each application and the changes in the various applications required additional time and effort to re-learn the revisions.I really wish I had never downloaded, installed, and leased the product.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromHave used Word most of my life and love it!Word - just makes life easier. It accepts most documents you want to copy into it. You can create documents on the fly. They can be a combo of word and excel. Love the fonts and the choices of document templates. Love being able to copy from my notes on IPhone to a word doc and then be able to work on it on my PC.Excel - I'm a little rusty using this but you can't beat it for handling numbers. Love the multiple sheets concept.OneNote - love being able to jot down notes. Was a little confused that I was unable to copy using Ctrl-c and then paste into Word.PowerPoint - great tool for presentations especially for those of us who get tongue-tied.

Rated 3 out of5 by fromNot worth an annual feeMicrosoft offered a free one year subscription + 1 TB storage on OneDrive as they cut the amount of free OneDrive storage. Is Office 365 superior to Open Office which is free or Google suite of office products (also free)? PowerPoint is better than the free programs but not by a large margin. Excel is faster than Google sheets and a bit better than the Open Office spreadsheet program, but Google sheets has better editing functions. Word - no better, no worse than Open Office. So when my free subscription expires, will I renew - no, not worth the annual fee.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromReally only needed WordI already had office on my computers but couldn't use it after some files disappeared. I wanted to reinstall my product but could not find it. I've had it quite awhile and loved it. I thought this was an inexpensive alternative rather than buying a whole new program. I do not like the new Word on this. I can't figure out how to print a simple envelope without going through a bunch of unnecessary hunting. I would prefer an older version. I find these new "improvements" a pain in the behind! I wish companies would stop "improving" things when the old version worked better than the newer version. I'm in the process of moving and if I find my proof of purchase, I'm going to reinstall it and trash this.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromContinues To Be The BestIt has been a long while since I used Microsoft products as I long ago immersed myself in Google's ecosystem and have been using Google Docs and Drive for most everything for the past number of years. But, when I got a Surface Book recently and discovered how amazing Windows 10 was (and I hadn't used a Windows device since Windows 7), I decided to give the Office Suite a try. WOW. The feature set, the user-friendliness, the synchronicity between apps not only within the Office Suite but also with third-party integrations makes my busy life incredibly seamless and productive. I am thoroughly enjoying my subscription.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromOffice 365 for a single userI just got this, and even though I see some bad reviews, it seems the bad reviews are for MAC users. Once the purchase was made, the download email came quickly, about 45 minutes later. I just hit the download button, and the executable was quickly put into my download folder. I run it and it installs without any real need to monitor the process. It doesn't overlay older versions of MS Office (I have 2010 also installed) so I'm grateful for that. Now I have a complete MS Office suite, and it all works fine, with all the latest bells and whistles.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromFine, until it stops recognizing your licenseHad 365 as a gift from my folks (the one for 5 people so we all share), one day it stops recognizing my license as valid. Odd, so I purchase my own personal copy and it's fine for about a week. Same thing. Even tech, working remotely on my computer, couldn't figure it out. I'm not the only one with this issue. It doesn't seem to really hurt anything, but it is more than a little annoying that NO ONE has any real idea how to fix it. I would recommend it, sure, but be aware that it seems a little buggy.
