Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromThe BestThe Razer blade is really an incredible Laptop. Since its designed for games, I went with the 512gb model instead of the 256 because modern games are so big. I love the design, its light yet durable and the keyboard lighting is incredible. I've spent an inordinate amount of time on making my own configurations for programs I use. New games can run on high settings with no issue and I have yet to see any fps below 50 even on ultra settings playing crysis.Keep in mind that this computer does get hot and the FANS ARE VERY LOUD and kick in early to prevent damage, but if you get a cooling pad or extra coolers you shouldn't have to worry about the heat damaging your components anyway.Overall its everything I'm looking for in a 2016 computer.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromAwesomeI waited for a long time in Razer online store, but they always postponed the date they were trying to sell. So I bought it here with earlier shipping than it said. The laptop itself is literally top-notch. The keyboard is the best among all thin-designed companies because the key travel is longer than Razer Blade Stealth. I checked every spot that can be some flaws for those cheap laptop, but I found this one flawless, even the ports are well fit. Touch screen is very responsive and crystal clear. Also the skin is newly covered with some material that is not fingerprint magnet anymore. The fan is quite loud during the gameplay. The sound is lack of base, but I do not care about these issues since it is loud enough and you can put on headphones. I would say it is worth the price you pay for. I know it is so expensive to decide to buy. Just buy it!

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat laptopHave had for 1 week at the time of this review. My first Razer laptop and well worth the 2 month wait. Looked at other gaming laptops, especially given the delays that Razer was experiencing. Kept coming back to this one having everything I wanted for both work and home use. Gaming standpoint I've played Witcher 3 and Overwatch so far and very satisfied with the performance.Microsoft service was great, received the machine within 2 days of ordering, and glad to have the 2 year support as well. Hoping that MS will also be caring the Razer Core...

Rated 4 out of5 by fromSleek form factor, great performanceI purchased this laptop with the intent to hold on to it for a couple years to play some pretty low requirement games, handle some videos, and overall just be a computer on the go I could use for personal things.Pros:The unit is build solid, everything lines up great,The hinge on the screen is fantastic,Screen quality is superb and touch works very well,Track pad worked greatCons:Heat is an issue after running a game for awhileFans do flare up quite a bit and can be noisy to someAfter two weeks of ownership, I noticed that when playing games and the heat had really turned up that one of the fans started to sound significantly different when it went into high speed mode to cool off (like it was grinding / rumbling out of alignment). It happened a couple of times when I recreated the same situation. I've since sent it back not wanting to risk owning a defective unit. Given the amount the fans come on and the heat this emits, I don't think I'll be buying it again.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromMonths of searching finally overSorry for the short review, but I'm currently typing this on my phone while rainbow six siege finds a match.I searched for months for a laptop. I'm a semi-hardcore gamer, and soon to be college student. I don't usually type out reviews, but I received an email from Microsoft asking to review this and I believed it deserved one. This laptop has done everything I've wanted. Yes, it does get toasty like other reviews say, but that's only when gaming and I personally game at home on my desk where I have a cooling pad, so it is alright! On the go, this laptop stil gets the job done. Being a gaming laptop, it does normal tasks extremely fast. (Boot time under 10 seconds also! I can go from this laptop being off to browsing the Internet in seconds.) People complain about the battery life being too short, however I have never seen the need for a 10 hour battery. 6 hours is more than enough for me! Plus, the charger is very compact and easy to bring around in case you need if. All in all, this laptop is perfect for anyone who wants a MacBook like build quality packed with a punch!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNothing But IssuesI bought this laptop due to all the great reviews and it being the only laptop that fit all my needs. I have experienced nothing but issues with this product. The first issue is that the screen constantly makes me nauseous and gives me headaches. I have not seen anyone else on any review site mention this problem but nonetheless I do. The other problem I had was with the quality control of this product. The first one I received had a yellow tint to it's screen, the second one a faulty mouse pad, and the final and third replacement another faulty mouse pad. I'm happy for all the people who haven't had issues and I might just have bad luck, but i have experienced nothing but issues with this product myself.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromRazer is losing its touchI purchased this Razer because of an overall positive experience I had with an older model. Upon using it on my first day, the F10 and CNTRL keys popped out and would not stay in no matter how many time I tried to put them back in.Another let down was the display - I am coming from a Surface Book and the very first thing I noticed was how washed out and dull the display looked compared to the Surface Book. I'm glad Razer reduced the price but in my opinion, the quality seems to have taken a hit.
