Ratings and reviews

Rated 4 out of5 by fromVery good for note taking.I did not want a tablet that can be a laptop (e.g. a clunky laptop) or a laptop that can be a tablet; I wanted a light, thin tablet with a good stylus for note taking that can open native windows apps. This tablet does note taking very well. The speakers are horrible, but the speakers are not useful for note taking, email, etc... so not a deal breaker. However, it would benefit Toshiba to improve the speakers if only to improve this product's internet reviews.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromDont let the other reviews scare you...Quality!I've been using this for a few days now, and for the price point, I think this 2 in 1 edges out the competition. Superior Wacom pen input that even discerning artists would appreciate. You can customize the buttons on the pen to do different things, including open a rotary menu that can quickly open programs/apps. Super thin and light, I mean, even with the keyboard this thing weights JUST over 2 lbs. This really is a super student / light business machine. If your are looking to run hard core programs that are graphic or memory intensive, look elsewhere, but for me...the grad student, who understand the beautify of pinch to zoom on the pre-installed OneNote application coupled with the pen input, there may be nothing better on the market currently. Toshiba nicely includes their own suite of note taking, sharing, and recording apps which are clean cut and very functional. The other reviewers claimed the speakers stink, and they do, but since I usually use headphones anyway (not to mention all the small portable speakers available on the market), I would say its a small nock on the device as a whole. I would rate the speakers 2/10. But like I said, not a problem point for me. Do you research, if your looking for a good all around tablet and if you see the value of a Wacom based tablet, look long and hard at the Toshiba Dynapad. If your looking for an entertainment suite (and need windows 10 vs android), expect to pay a lot more for a higher end 2 in 1.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromExcellent electronic notepadThis will be my last time using the Microsoft store system, just wanted to say Toshiba has made an excellent product here, like an electronic notepad. Pen and touch features are very fast and accurate for note taking, drawing, and it runs office apps fine.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromAlmost 5 StarsI'm an avid Toshiba fan. So I love seeing the new stuff they come out with. This particular tablet is pretty darn good.Pros:High Quality feel/texture. The whole tablet has a rubbery texture to it. The Wacom Pen writes amazing (you can actually rest your palm on the tablet screen and write perfectly). Screen resolution is very nice quality. I found the battery life plenty acceptable, but take note, I use the battery on 25% or 50% brightness. So if you like your screens super bright, your results may vary. Charging time is pretty reasonable too. The cameras aren't bad -- nothing epic, but they get the job done. The pen securely attached to the tablet. And of course, Windows 10 OS.Cons:Only one, and it's why I deducted a star. The tablet speaker quality is HORRENDOUS. Or in the words of a friend of mine who also has the tablet, "embarrassingly horrible." Why on earth Toshiba would make such a high quality product and use such terrible speakers is just beyond my comprehension - it honestly ruins the product a little bit. The sound is beautiful with headphones plugged in, or linked up to a Bluetooth speaker. But when you play it out of the tablets speakers, oh my, you almost think something is broken or wrong with them.In the end, I'd still recommend the product for the price point for people who want a solid Windows 10 tablet.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNot for Content ViewingThis machine may be nice if you just want to draw but if you are looking for general usage then be warned. The speakers are close to useless. At full volume they are both distorted and almost impossible to hear at a distance more then 12 inches. The microphone seems to work sporadically. (at least cortana doesn't catch it about a third of the time.) Also battery life is not close to what they advertise with slow recharge. I am getting about 4-5 hours of book reading with a recharge of about the same when using the wall adaptor.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromgreat tablet for writing notes/memosi am using this tablet for writing notes with the stylus. i tried the HP Envy 8 but the toshiba applications are really geared towards handwritten notes which i needed. the 4gb RAM also help to ensure the tablet does not lag. the eMMC drive is a litle slow but i expected it and i barely notice. i wish i could find the keyboard but its sold out online. overall a great tablet with a fantastic stylus!

Rated 2 out of5 by fromLittle disappointedPro:Light weight;Great writing experience; It is Windows OS.Con:Terrible speaker, I dont expect a great one, but it is way below average. Even when you turn it all the way up, still barely hear the sound.Terrible battery life, revived it at noon, and i already charged it twice. The overall performance lagged behind, will lag in 1080p youtube videos plays. Programs load time are longer.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromBest digital note taking experience!First and foremost, do not let the other reviews discourage you from considering this tablet. I will start by saying that if purchased for the right purpose, the dynapad is an exceptional machine; that is, if utilized for taking notes and consolidating your workspace. As a medical student with a tremendous collection of textbooks to lug around, this tablet literally saved my back by reducing my 20lb backpack to a mere 1.2lbs. This tablet is all I carry to class! Additionally, after a month of careful research into a digital notepad, I have concluded that the writing experience on the dynapad is as close to pen to paper as you can get digitally; the trupen and minimal pen to screen distance is truly something special. Sure, you aren't going to be able to play the latest games or encode 4k movies but lets be honest, this is not what the dynapad was intended for... If you are looking for a no frills and pleasant note taking experience while being able to better organize/consolidate your notes, work and books, this is as close as it comes at the moment.
