Rated 5 out of5 by fromThe best Windows yetI've been a Mac guy my whole life, but the tables have turned for me. I actually prefer Windows 10 to the Mac OS. Windows 8 was really good - Windows 10 is even better. It's super fast, really easy to use, makes sense, doesn't get in my way and it's just easier to do multiple things at once. I absolutely love the integration with OneDrive. In fact, I'm buying another copy of Windows 10 to run on my Macbook Pro Retina because I'm so much more productive and less frustrated by Win 10. There are small, minor frustrations like the grab zones at the top or corner of a window, or how you can't delete a file that's showing in the preview pane... but I seriously rarely use my Macbook Pro anymore. Super stable, really fast, very user friendly. Great OS.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromI'm loving Windows 10 with little to no issues.I've upgraded 3 (soon to be 5) computers to Windows 10, mostly from 7, and have had no problems that weren't my own fault. 2 of the upgrades went perfect and have had no issues and the 3rd I screwed up myself. We'll see how the next two go (one from 7 and one a clean install from Vista) but I expect few to no problems.Overall I'm pleased with the performance and capability of Win10.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromBest and Fastest yetI beta tested Windows 10 and in January I opened a computer repair in a small town in Washington. People have told me they did not want Windows 10 because of what they have heard. My best way to describe Windows 10 is it is the best of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 in a easy to use format. I have installed Windows 10 on hundreds of computers since January and I have had 1 complaint that a gentleman's game would not work. Usually after I have installed Windows 10 on computers I give customers a quick lesson, usually about 15 minutes to 1/2 hour, and send them on their way. The feedback has been very positive. Many people have come in and their friends have shown them how easy it is to use. They are especially happy with how short of time it takes to start up the computer.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromSalvation from the Purgatory of Windows UpdateI needed Windows in order to more easily work with files created by my students and colleagues -- Word documents just don't look right in any software for my preferred OS, and my students get confused if I try to introduce free software to them. So I went ahead and bit the bullet to purchase it (I didn't want to upgrade, preferring a fresh start instead). At first, after my experiences with Vista, 7, and even 8, I was worried about having to leave my computer idle for hours upon hours with Windows Update every couple of weeks (as it seemingly did nothing for most of those hours of "checking for updates"). It appears, however, that MS has resolved the problems in Windows 10.I know next to nothing about the reasons many other users hate this edition of Windows, as I haven't used it for anything more than the most basic web browsing and office applications. It does the job well on that front. Therefore, my praises may not be useful for your purposes. I hope that the improved updating system is able to remain efficient as it is. If so, I'll try some other software, and perhaps enjoy using Windows again as I did 15 years ago.
