Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by fromLifesaver!I just bought this and I must say that I am very happy with it so far. I read all of the reviews and was afraid to purchase because many mac users were so unhappy about it. So before committing, I decided to ask questions about compatibility. The response was professional and timely. When having difficulty with installation, an employee was able to fix my problem within 30 minutes. I don't know why there are such low ratings. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that the mac version is only 2011. But I think it's fine for basic purposes. It's all personal preference, really.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromExcellent Deal !!!My laptop crashed three days before mid-terms and with my new system I no longer had Word Starter, which I had been using for school. This was a good and affordable fix, plus I needed the ability to create PowerPoint pages and presentations. I will eventually need a new laptop and this package says you can put it on more than one machine, which will be great when I start my statistics courses. I haven't used Excell yet, but I'm sure I will in the future! Sign up was easy with my student ID and email account... it took a day, but worked great!

Rated 5 out of5 by fromUse Office 365 "off-line" all the timeSaw all the 1 star reviews by Apple Fanboys saying that Office 365 only works online so I thought I should chime in as an owner/user of Office 365. If you save your file online (One Drive on the cloud for example), then obviously you must be online to edit the file. Always hated Microsoft, but the Apple Fanboys are driving me away from Apple. I use Android, Windows, Linux and pencil and paper before I'll use any Fanboy promoted Apple product.I give it 5 stars for features/price balance. Open Office is ok, but what about Access and One Note?

Rated 1 out of5 by fromOver priced fpr studentsI got this before find that my school does not use this. My school has switch to Open Office since it is free and works better than this. You need internet connection 24/7 or it does not work. I had a power outage so the router went down. I still have 3 hours of battery life on the laptop. I had a paper due the next day. Since the router lost power, there was no internet and could not write any more of my paper. The professor said that should have used Open Office since it will work without Internet connection and is free. This is one of the reason school has stopped using Office.I would not recommand this product if you need any work done.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromPerfect SolutionThe software DOES give all applications (I have and use them all). The programs DO NOT require internet access to use them. I have used my applications out of web connectivity often. You can save to the local computer as well as the One Drive. You do need web to access the One Drive and documents saved there, but not items saved locally to the computer. The TB of space on the One Drive is amazing.

Rated 5 out of5 by fromGreat ProductIt is great if you know what you are doing. Don't be fooled by the large amount of one star reviews. Read through them and you will see most of them obviously don't know what they are doing with these programs, either installing or using them. As long as you have a Microsoft account, save the product key, 3 gb of space for the download, and reliable internet for the initial download there should be no problems using these programs afterwards being online or offline.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromNo additional 1Tb Onedrive for people same house!Pros: Great price for a 4-year product. I basically bought it because of 1Tb of space on OneDrive. It also comes with all the office programs + 60 minutes of calls through Skype every month, which can be used for international calls.Cons: On the description it says that the purchaser can “share” the subscription and get an additional 1Tb of space on OneDrive for each person in the house. I tried to “share” my subscription with my wife, and there is no way to do it!! After wasting a lot of time on the chat and the phone, it is not possible to share the subscription with other people with Office 365 University. It is only possible with Office 365 Premium.OBS: some people posted that you cannot create a new document without internet access using Office 365. That is not true. You can do it. What you can’t is access the files that are exclusively on Onedrive without internet.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromTerrible Visual PresentatonThe 2016 versions of Office have been significantly changed in visual presentation. While the upper menu header portion of each program uses different colors (blue for Word, green for Excel., etc.) which is nice, the font sizes, menu spacing, etc is very terrible. For example, in Outlook, your folders listed on the let portion of the program will now be much less if you have many folders. The folder name font size is larger than before, and there is at least a full font size spacing now between folders. I upgraded from Office 2007 and this suite will take a long time to get used to. It seems functionality is about the same.
